^So, Creed is in essence now Alter Bridge? I never liked Creed, they just didn't do anything for me, but I won't bash 'em and say they suck and can't play their instruments.

When I think of rock I hear...

You dig?

AMEN. Myles Kennedy and that 4 octave range of his is heavenly. He's deffinetly one of the best rock vocalists of this era. Combine that with the epic shredding talents of Mark Tremonti, the awesome bass playing by Brian Marshall and the sick drumming from Scott Phillips brings the entire band into harmony.

I've seen them live, they're so much better live than they are in studio, but thats not saying much as they're amazing in studio as well. [/fanboy rant]

I was going to post this in the techno thread but the version I found is more like rock, and a lot better than the techno version.

I f'ing love that song, the keyboard solo is insane, my dad said that he saw them live and the keyboard player had 3 sets of racks that he was playing off of, also, he said that the keyboard players arms were flailing more than the drummers, i bet they were a bad ass live band, wish I could have been able to see them.

Well, let's revitalize this with some awesomeness. I've recently gotten into a NIN craze...and...well, this is a rock topic, figured i'd post a few from their most acclaimed (I still think Fragile edges it out...) Downward Spiral. My three favorite songs from the album:

*Headphones are DEFINITELY recommended*

(^Ruiner...)

P.S. And NO "Closer", why? Cause it's way too overhyped, sure it has a cool sound...but there are so many better songs on the album (*cough coughabovecough*) that don't need to be as...well, you hopefully know the song. [:D]

Kick-ass [8D]

I personally like various artists from all genres except metal.

I love me some Bon Jovi. [^]

One of my favorite songs of all time. :)

Not classic rock, but some nice chilling alternative. Another one of my favorite songs.

They're industrial, not rock.

And listening to this makes you a gigantic hypocritical walking oxymoron. Deal with it.

They are Industrial rock and they sometimes go Industrial metal (listen to "Broken EP") "dipshit". Also, if the only reason you think they're not rock is because they're "Industrial" then I guess "Static-X" isn't rock or metal either! XD

Hypocritical walking oxymoron...uhm, I like this music, if it makes me...whatever you just said...I don't really care. I don't know what you're trying to say or prove but...it's not working lol.

Static X isn't rock, it's industrial and front-lined by a raging vegetarian.

It makes you a walking hypocritical oxymoron, like I would be one if I liked Creed because they're a Christian band with the same shitty message they all have.

Static-X isn't rock...okay psycho. Chances are you just looked these guys up to come up with some nonsensical remark to my obviously correct post. Just sit down, shut up, and admit you're wrong, you're not going to win in an argument about this kind of music. I'll bring up all sorts of links, articles, and whatnot to shut you up on this topic for good. So please, before I do it...shut up for yourself.

And to your uneducated ramblings about me being a hypocritical walking oxymoron...well, that just speaks for itself. And i'm not talking about Creed now am I?

For Static-X-

Nope, not metal at ALL. XD

And for NIN (for the younger viewers on the forum *explicit lyrics*-

I mean...COME ON XD. Also, must be rock enough for LP to cover it (when they were still REAL rock musicians of course, circa 2004: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5qVpzYMM0c )
