Hi! I just bought my first mac computer, an imac 27" wirh a 2,66GHz intel core i5-processor, 4gb DDR3 SDRAM and the graphic card is ATI Radeon HD 4850 with 512 MB GDDR3 memory.

The thing is, I've had nolimits for some years now, on my pc, and it works ok on that thing, framerate drops when it's a heavy coaster etc..

But on my NEW imac (I know mac is not the best for games) I have 100 fps with on the largest coaster, all the time - But not when I have the default environment on!! As soon as I "look" into the sun the fps drops to like 16 fps?! Doesnt matter if I have the smallest coaster, just as I look towards the sun and it's reflection in the simulation, it drops in an instant! So what can I do?! I tried to change things in the graphic section on the simulator but the problem remains. I don't want to ride all my coasters in an night environment.. Please, help me - I'm not very good with computers..

The only thing I can think of is that your graphics card is causing the problem. Go to ATI's website and try to download some new updated drivers for your card. I'm not familiar with MAC computers so I can't help you there. I just bought a new PC with the PCI Express 2 video and it's far superior to the old AGP video cards.

sweet, got the same iMac! Mines about 2 months old now, i went for the quad core 2.8GHz version. It is simply the solar flares, strange that such a simple thing can cause such a powerful computer to lose frame rates, but there ya go. Simply press H while in simulator and scroll across till you see what key you need to press. Sometimes have to hold down "fn" or "cmd" at the same time even though it doesn't say you have to.

I still haven't found out a way that you can speed up or slow down the sim. I got the wireless keyboard which doesnt have a num pad.
