ok this is really random, but I was watching the local news earlier on today and they said about getting into Alton Towers for free this bank holiday weekend. This is the wierdest thing ever, but still, if you are going to Alton Towers this weekend and you want to get in for free, take a garden gnome with you and you'll get in for free [confused]. Ok, its not as random as you might first think, its in response to a new book entitled "Not Alton Towers" or something like that, I forget [lol], a book about all the small tourist attractions in England that are supposedly as good as Alton Towers but just don't have the money to advertise and so on. A place called "Gnome Magic" is one of the best tourist attractions in England and features on the front cover of the book and so Alton Towers decided to say that if you like gnomes, then come in Alton Towers for free this weekend. Its so wierd and random, but sadly I don't own any garden gnomes [V].

What was really funny about it, was that they had an interview with a guy from "Gnome Magic" on there, and he was saying that he doesn't like the idea because it will lead to people steeling gnomes from people front gardens [lol]

I thought this was just too wierd not to share with everyone else hehe.

However, be forewarned that the staff at the Towers will be inspecting any gnomes that do actually turn up, and they must meet specific regulations.

For example:

Quote - Gnome Offer Entry Regulations:

"*It must be between 18" - 25" from feet base to tip of hat.
*It must be wearing a blue, red or green hat.
*It must have a white beard.
*No plastic gnomes should be acccepted
*Fishing Rods/Other accessories should be favourably looked upon.
*Etc..."

It will not be as easy as it may seem to get in with a gnome-friend!

Yours,
dragon2000

Hahaha, yeah they mentioned about it having to be a certain height and it having to be a traditional style.

By the way, where did you get that info from?

quite blatantly, all of the gnomes that were left behind, were stolen by chavs from other peoples gardens, so they could get in for free, then just left there. It was obviously going to happen really when you think about it.
