I am planning a summer trip for the venture crew that i'm in to Six Flags Over Georgia on June 10-12. On the 11th, the park closes at 10:00, p.m., but the closest campsites are all about an hour away, and they all close at 10:00 p.m. also. I really don't want to leave the park early, and staying in a hotel or motel is not an option. What should I do?

maybe you can ask at the campsite if it's possible to come later then 10pm. Maybe you can come in then with a key or something. Try calling one of the campsites and ask...

My family does lots of camping throughout the year ... and I would show up a day early at the campsite (maybe like late afternoon). That way, you can relax a little bit and get totally setup, and then you ought to be able to "come back" to the camp at any time day or night, as the site will already be yours, regardless of the office being open or not. Most sites (especially a state park) run about $9 - $18 per night, and surely that is MUCH cheaper than a hotel.

However, if staying in a hotel becomes an option, then by all means there are TONS in the area of SFOG:

Hope this helps ....
