what a let down this ride is.....
yes as most of you probally know it pend to the public today. the launch was not a bad one, the owner of drayton manor said a few words and then the celebrity guests G4 sang through mikes from the seat of the train letting off fireworks at the end of "my way". it looks impressive from the outside with its steep drops and small compact layout, the harnesses are very comfortable aswell, but that is about it. The coaster is slow and travels feeling heavy there is only 1 car, it was a rushed finish (the inside of the station there are still lose bolts, wet paint, exposed wiring, and unfinished wood flooring). Not only that i have alreaddy found a problem with the seats and the restraints, MAURER S?????????HNE claim
"The outstanding new development in the X-Seat is the hip restraint, which has almost identical fixing properties for both very slim and very large people. It reduces the free space between lap bar and backrest, both longitudinally and laterally. Whatever the build of the passenger - short and delicate, short and fat, normal build, tall and lanky or tall and corpulent - tests show that everyone is seated comfortably and in absolute safety."
BUT!!!!
i saw 2 people have o get off because the first was too big and the harness would fit round him but the corner of the harness kept on digging into his leg, he weighed only about 18st. The second had legs that were to wide and she had the same problem, a design floor i think.
it is a great idea for a roller coaster but it need developing further, you will probaly see this design around the world because it has such a small footprint but the ride over all was a big letdown.
i also tryed to get a POV but they were very striced on wha was going on on the coaster, the spotted my camcorder hid up my sleve and converscated it until i got off, sorry i could not bring you a POV of this ride.
