Clearly I am not the only one who finds the B&M Wingrider restraints very uncomfortable, because of the way the shoulder straps dig into one's collar bone. I got sh!t for this in the Banshee thread and I'm not sure why, because it's not an issue that only I experience.

Cedar Point is taking the matter into their own hands. The outer wing seats in rows 2 and 4 have been modified such that the shoulder straps do not lock during the ride. They hope this will provide a more comfortable ride experience. If it goes over well, they might change them all.

Has anyone tried this that can confirm? I will try it when I go for Halloweekends sometime in the next two months.

To be honest, I didn't notice they lock during the ride but I'm 5'10 and 120 lbs so fit was never really a problem for me. Glad to know they're fixing it so everyone can enjoy it.

^That's my solution^
Pretty sure people complaining of a "B&M rattle" are just uncomfortable because their mantits are rubbing up against their shirt too much. People used to be afraid of Arrows because they would rip out earrings. Grow a pair.

^Actually we've had more complaints from the taller and skinnier people rather than larger guests.

It all depends how it sits on your collar bone, however I can confirm that they have been testing this for a couple months now. I will also say that I didn't have a problem with the harness before, however the modified harnesses are NICE! So much more free feeling!

OMG yes. Those restraints hurt so much it made me have no desire to re-ride the ride, which would be fun otherwise.

But none of that really hits here so it's okay.

Yes! I'll definitely use this in the future especially for people talking about the NTAG incident. [lol]

But I believe the wing rider complaints are from skinnier people with no muscle tissue on the shoulder area.

Yeah, I'm 5'11, 145 lbs and the first time I rode Gatekeeper I was held on the final brake section for about 3 minutes. Me and my friend were laughing from how much pain our collar bones were experiencing. I believe TMV888 had the same issue and he's smaller than I am. I've been on the ride about 10 times over the summer(season pass) and it was better on some of the rides after the first, but still not great. I want to take a paid vacation day and go the Tuesday after Labor and try one of the test seats out. I think it would be awesome without locking! The ride is a freaking blast, from any seat too! I've been on front both sides, back left, and all over the middle both sides. The ride is awesome in any seat and I still don't have a favorite spot. Great addition to CP since I worked there 3 years ago. I absolutely love it! Only people to hate it are those who haven't rode it, ha.

Also, I thought I saw you running GK, coasterdave, haha. I just didn't say anything cause I felt like it would have been awkward!

They were aight. My only gripe was that they tightened to the point that it killed any possible airtime. As far as hurting it wasn't bad - a little unpleasant, but nothing worse than the little bit of headbanging you experience on raptor. GK was pretty meh in the day anyways, but I rerode it at night after rain and it was much better
