Ghost File (Please Help)

I finally got RCT3 and my friends let me borrow Soaked! I've currently started a new park and have been working on it sense yesterday.

It was working fine this morning, but after I came back to it after going out for a few hours, the file was gone. But when I looked in my RCT3 folder, both files (saved two, renamed one) where there. I loaded the game up again, but I couldn't find the thumbnail to load the park![V]

It should be under Sandbox files, but I looked everywhere. I've made copies and unzipped it different places, but I still couldn't see it on RCT3! If you have any suggestions, please reply or PM me.[:(]

i think you just looked over it, watch good at all names, i'm sometimes also rechecking my list 3-4 times before i'd find the park i'm looking for. Also, you can also delete some parks you don't need anymore. Or move those files away out of the folder.

Yeah it is very easy to miss a park going by images and also make sure you are looking for the right name. The mind can quickly blank out words when looking for something. Also have you checked the directory in My Documents? There is always a backup file for the last game you played in RCT3

Erm...I only have 2 parks now. Actually, I have Edge's and Dirk's parks for Soaked! [8D] I like Edge's better, no offense[;)]

Anyway, I found the Back-Up file thing (BAK file, right?) but those didn't show up on the list. I noticed that the working files were all DAT type, while the ones that didn't work were FILE and BAK type.

I have no idea how to convert those type of files, or how to activate (if need activation) the BAK files. I'll just start another park for now and search for anything that could fix it.[V]

you rename the extention from .dat.bat to just .dat, or else change somewhere a setting that makes it possible, forgot where...
