Going to vegas...

Okay so my family and i are going to Viva Las Vegas after memorial day on the 28th. Were trying to figure out what hotel to stay at but we cant make up our minds! So we are going to leave it up to you guys!

I'll copy what I had to say at C2k:

Definitely don't stay at Circus Circus, I stayed there and it was an absolute crap hole. Also, it still costs 20 bucks for the adventure dome if you stay there.

My pick is Excalibur. I have stayed there twice, and it is a very, very nice hotel. It is also great for teens and children. Also, the location is fantastic.

As for the coasters, I found them best to worst in this order:

1. Speed- fast, smooth, and all out fun
2. Desperado- tall, nice air, but a little rough...also very long
3. Canyon Blaster- fairly smooth arrow with great theming
4. Manhattan Express- POS togo. You will want to yell out a few explicatives during this ride. Not worth 8 or 9 bucks or whatever rediculous price they pay. Just have a buddy punch you a couple times for free.

I was at the Circus Circus in Reno a few years ago so thats my vote. When I was at the one in Reno I had a great time. Plus with a stay there I think you get to go to the Adventure Dome for free. Could be wrong about that though.

Might wanna edit your post^ You still have to pay for rides and a wristband.

The Circus Circus was just dirty, smok(ey,ie,y?), and the food and services were just pathetic. We asked for a non smoking room in our reservations, and still our room smelled heavily of smoke. Basically the actual hotel is like stuck 10-20 years ago. The Adventure Dome is really nice, but you don't have to stay at CC to go.

I was just there over spring break and i agree that circus circus is just plain crap. I stayed at Luxor (the only hotel to let under 18 rent a room) and it was great, but the other hotels around are definitely much niced. Go see a Cirque de Soliel show while your there. They are very impressive

hmm, when i went to circus circus it was just great, no problems, loads of fun, i would recommend that, but the last 2 people said no, so, idk if i would go there after hearing about it being dirty etc... so i dont know what to tell you... lol, but yes, definatly go see a curqe soliel show when you are there, i hear "o" is amazing, but idk...
