Looks sweet[:D]

The latest Wood Roller Coaster element HIGH FIVE will be delivered by Martin & Vleminckx to the new OCT Park in Wuhan, China. This is the second delivery for MVR to OCT, the first being the first Wood Roller Coaster ever in China and the most popular ride in the newly opened OCT Shanghai Park.

Working closely with their design and engineering partners The Gravity Group, MVR is creating innovative elements for Wood Roller Coasters that bring new and exciting additions to the historical Wood Roller Coaster. This is just the beginning for new innovations to come from MVR!

The delivery to OCT Wuhan will be the first Racing Wood Roller Coaster in Asia and the track length will be twice that of the Fireball delivered to OCT Shanghai. Completion of the new Racing Woodie is planned for late summer, 2011. It will be ready for the park opening in late 2011.

The rolling stock Timberliner is the latest State of the Art Wood Roller Coaster trains from MVR?????????s partner Gravity Kraft. These new Wood Coaster trains are fitted with the latest ergonomic seat restraints which eliminate the need for the traditional seat belts in Wood Roller Coasters and creates the opportunity to do elements like the HIGH FIVE. The new restraints also substantially increasing capacity. The Timberliner trains are the Platinum Standard for Wood Roller Coasters.

Hot of the drawing table is the attached sketch of the HIGH FIVE element and as the ride develops more will come on this exciting element which brings a new dimension to a Racing Coaster.

Stand by! At this year?????????s IAAPA show in Orlando, Martin & Vleminckx will introduce another first for the Wood Roller Coaster market! MVR is the leader in the Wood Roller Coaster field and is continuing to expand the horizon for Woodies. MVR is the WOOD ROLLER COASTER PRO delivering the latest and greatest wood roller coaster innovations to the amusement industry

Martin & Vlemickx Rides (MVR) has announced a new Gravity Group designed, racing and dueling wooden roller coaster in Wuhan, China. It will be an impressive ride with two tracks full of airtime, twists and turns. This new ride will open in 2011 in Wuhan at a sister park to the Happy Valley Shanghai park where we designed Fireball, the country?????????s first wooden coaster.

Here?????????s a quick concept sketch that Anthony created demonstrating one of the highlights of the ride, the racing camelback banked at ninety degrees, dubbed the ?????????high five.????????? As more information can be shared, no doubt, it will be displayed here or on our Facebook page.

I want to see more[:D]

Some more stuff has been released....

I don't not think the red and blue will be used. Pretty sure it was used to show the differences between the two tracks.

Looks cool, that element could be kindof uncomfortable but most likely just awesome. Now everyone try to pull the hair of the girl on the other track!

I thought the same thing. I was hoping to see it some where else closer to the ground but that is probably 75-80 feet in the air. Looks crazy!

Don't mean reach out and grab Coasterkid's hair? [:p]

I'm sure there will be some air on that, just not strong.

It seems like they are really invested in the timberliners... Nearly all those projects say they have them. It will be interesting to see how they all ride.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

I can almost guarantee that the hill it's on is a parabola so that there aren't any lateral G's when you're rotated 90 degrees.
I agree with ckmwm. Waste of airtime.

If we do go on a trip next year, hopefully we will experience them. I think PTC updated their trains too.

This "high five" element helps make the designs unique. Plus you will likely float out of your seat there anyways just like you come out of your seat a bit on the transition into the turnaround on El Toro (probably the most similar element on a wooden ride). Don't like it? Not like there isn't plenty more for you to enjoy...it's not the only element on the ride, so take your pick of like 15 other more conventional moments of airtime.

Took a picture and zoomed in, you can see a lot more. First drop(red) looks really steep.

It's probably not any steeper than the blue first drop. The angle makes it look steeper than it is, if you don't notice the orientation of the track with respect to the camera.

The transition at the bottom of the pic on blue looks very Raven-ish....too bad they'll ruin it with leads and overbanking.

GG's do have strong lateral forces, and from what I've seen, their transitions aren't all that drawn out...no they're not almost instant like CCI did on most of their turns, but they're no RCCA either.
