Here are some photos I took of the construction so far of Green Lantern: First Flight at Magic Mountain. I took these during West Coast Bash/ACE Enthusiasts day on 3/19/11. I will take more photos of constructions whenever I go, and will post more photos. If anyone else has photos, please share.
Nope, I was wrong, the Batman stunt show was on the other side of Tidal Wave, right next to the entrance to Riddler's revenge. it's about time they fill in one of only a few remaining empty spaces in the park.
Good God that blue paint on Batman is ugly...and SFOG did it too...whyyy? Why not paint them like the one at SFNO was when it was still there? The black backbone with yellow rails and cross ties with silver supports.
^While I think the latter colors (black, yellow, silver) fits the theme better, you can't say that the blue is ugly. I think it looks really good, but you're right in that it doesn't fit the theme.
I think a darker blue would look better than what it is now, but the blue is darker in person than what it is in that picture. That might just be that I went on an overcast day though.
I think the blue looks okay...just like the blue on the Batman clone at SFFT (Goliath). It's a nice color, but when was Batman ever that shade of blue? A dark blue maybe, but SFOG did this color now too. It reminds me of Bizarro at SFGAdv.
On the note of the Green Latern, I'm kinda excited now that there's a ZacSpin within 4,000 miles of me [worship]
That ride shouldn't be installed. It reminds me of how Fahrenheit at Hershey has a capacity of less than 1000 people per hour (according to RCDB) and I really don't see how SFMM is going to manage the lines for this thing.
Huge parks like SFMM should be installing rides that are massive people suckers (like B&M's are usually), not little piddly dink things that will have the worst line ever. Insane at Grona has a capacity of 800 people per hour, and I know SFMM's will be less since Americans are dumber and fatter than in Europe so more people will not be able to fit into the restraints, etc.
