Help with adding wooden supports

I'v been buliding real park (Paraounts Kings Island, Ceder Point) tracks that are wooden and I can't get the red dots in the right place to build the wooden section. So can anyone help me with this prolbem I having been haveing?[;)]

Auto supports. Highlight a segment and press G. Go to auto supports amd figure it out.

Go to supports tab, then go to auto supports (or press ctrl+R) click that and set it out as shown in the pic below. The supports should then appear
