I posted this on my own site, figure I'll post it as well. Enjoy.
Trip Report: Six Flags Worlds of Adventure
Friday, June 20th, 2003
Weather: Sunny/Party Cloudy
Ride closures: RWB, Texas Twister
Time spent at park: 3.0 hours
I'm finaly back 'home'! I went out today and finaly picked up my new two best friends, my SFWoA season pass and my SFWoA season parking sticker. I got to the park around 4pm, waited in line to have my picture tooken and stuff and thru the gate I went.
Since I was running a little late, I waited till I got to the park to grab a bit to eat, so my first stop was the Amercain Grill. I munched down a fresh burger and fries and did alittle exploring.
I took a walked thru the water park and check out the new slides. Shark Attack looked pretty cool, but man, H.Mountain looks massive. They did a great job of fitting a massive water slide tower into a small spot. I haven't riden a water slide in 10+ years, just looking at HM makes want to grab a tube and head up the tower, and I just might when the weather is warm enough
After alittle stroll thru parts of the park, I headed over to X-Flight. To my surprise, there was no wait and yet they were runing both stations and two trains. I was able to get two back to back rides without getting off. The ride was fairly smooth and very enjoyable. The crew did a kickn' job.
Now it was time for alittle wood. I headed over to Villain, and was surprised there also, 2 train op. with no wait. I took the front seat for a classic Villain ride. This puppy was running wild today, awesome ride. Only took one spin.
Next stop, BKF. Anther 2 train op. with no wait. I hoped in the back for a very smooth and very fast ride. It's still, IMO, the most under rated B&M coaster out there. Took one quick spin.
I then took a nice little stroll over to the wild life side and soaked in the very nice landscape. Stoped by Tiger Island for abit, then headed over to the Thriller Bees and Starfish rides. I sucker myself to take a dizzing spin on the Starfish. That little ride packs on heck of a punch. I was expecting a similar ride as the old Cansino ride. Oh boy was I wrong. It's a great ride indeed.
I had to stop by and say hi to Shouka before I continued my stroll thru the park to end my short, but great vist.
There was a few things I did notice, the park was very clean, the employees were super friendly, and the ride crews were awesome!
I'm looking forward to my vist sunday, and hopefully RWB will be back up and running.
Speaking of which, I saw a few cranes and a couple workers replacing some wood at the top of the first drop/lift hill.
All in all, it was the perfect little vist to start off my SFWoA season.
