Hey everyone, so I've got a trip coming up in August that looks like it's going to be a bit rushed. As it's planned right now, I'm going to get just less than one day at Kings Island and one day at Holiday World. Never having been to either, I have no idea if this is going to be enough or if we should try to change some stuff. Thanks!

Holiday World takes less than a day easily, and KI should be doable in one day but two days there would guarantee that you could hit everything. I was there at the end of June last year though, so late July or August may be a little busier at both parks.

At King's Island 2 years ago (before Diamondback) I hit everything in one day but I needed pretty much the entire day and that was late June so I would plan at least a day and a half there and Holiday World should be easy to hit in a day.

Kings island is crowded in August. Hopefully your going on a weekday. Don't miss out on Your night ride on The Beast. It's worth the wait. Diamondback ask a ride-op for row 16 once you get to the top of the stairs to the station. Delirium has been shut down for almost a month now. If you have any other questions I'm your guy to ask [:D]

As for Holiday world I would suggest going for two days. I loved the park, there's no way to do everything in one day. If you like waterparks definently go for two days. Raven is in one train opertaion until Timberliners are on for operation to the General public. If your going late August you don't have much to worry about that. I always heard do Raven, Legend, Then Voyage. I would suggest doing that. Back seat on Raven is a good choice[:)] Pilgrums plunge isn't really worth the wait. I thought it was dumb to be honest. The lift is more interesting then the drop. Gobbler getaway is a good place to cool off and it smells like pumpkin pie inside.

Alright cool, thanks guys. But one more thing....

I heard something about the Voyage getting new trains and being closed for a little while, does anyone know the date that this is supposed to be on? I'll be at Holiday World the 21st of August, and there is no chance of switching days at parks now.

21st of should be good. They stop daily operation the 16th so they should be able to get in the test runs it needs.

Kings Island blows. Spend as little time as you need there...I went last Monday and got every coaster done then just whored Diamondback...it's the only good ride there. Also, dont ride Beast at night, it's a waste of time as the ride is a piece of poop...just reride Diamondback.

As for Holiday World, spend as MUCH time as you can there. The three woodies are absolutely AMAZING and the park rules. I was there last Tuesday and Legend was a 5 min wait, Raven 15, and Voyage 20.

I thought the Beast was pretty fun. Of course it's not an airtime machine or anything, but it does exactly what it was designed to do, go fast through the woods.

How can it go fast when there is a trim every 10 feet of track? It was a joke.

True, I didn't think the trims were that bad when I was there, but they obviously do take away from what the ride was 20 or 30 years ago. Still, a coaster's a coaster, and I didn't find this one to be boring at all.

How do you know how the ride was 20 or 30 years ago? You don't.

It had trims on the first drop, first hill after the drop, and after that hill...then going down the drop into the helix. All were super hard mag trims and made the ride a complete joke...it did absolutely nothing.
