Back in highschool our Spanish class teacher got mad at us all one day. She started telling us a 'joke':

"Hey want to hear a joke? What do you call a person who speaks three langauges?"

Someone said "tri-linguel"

She went on; "What do you call a person who speaks two languages?"

Someone answered "bi-linguel."

Next up was; "and what do you call a person who speaks one language?"

Someone said "mono-linguel." I knew where the joke was going and being the smartass that I am, I piped up and said "American?"
She then proceeded to say "That's right! And it's sad that you know that too!!" She then went on a tangent about how people in other countries are multi-linguel, etc.

I speak English mainly and I can decipher some Spanish thanks to the aforementioned class. [:D]

Dutch (doh). Other languages I can speak pretty fluently are French, English and Italian. German is my pain in the ass atm, and the language I really want to speak but which is kinda impossible is Japanese (or maybe Slovene).

Gazag, with your lack of grammar skills I find it amusing that you put all Americans down for their English.

Start by capitalizing where needed, then feel free to think about stereotyping people.

American English, Spanish, and a little bit of Italian. Took one year of Italian in middle school but then I moved to a school that didnt' offer it, so I'm in my third year of Spanish.
