How terrible Seaworld is..

In one of my classes in school, we were watching a documentary about how bad seaworld is.. Basically the entire thing was talking about how poorly they take care of the whales and how they've attacked many trainers, some killed, due to the amount of care given. There were talk about how when they got one of the whales. (Tikumu or something like that) It was literally ripped from it's family and it was so dramatic that people who had to actually catch the whale could hear the sounds from the other whales screeching with the whale itself screeching right back, etc etc etc. Another thing was how they keep the whales in these 20 x 30 ft tanks overnight. I don't know if this stuff was real but thought i'd share it with ya, you can watch the documentary on netflix although I completely forgot the name of it. But it was pretty messed up, thought i'd share it with ya'll

Pretty much everybody is already aware of this. And rest assured, the company is certainly suffering from this publicity rap, and I don't think it's happening slowly. It's not just SeaWorld but there are a lot of wildlife entertainment centers that take horrid care of the creatures- Busch Gardens being under the same parent company is included.

But yes, those documentaries are actually achieving their goal pretty well. People all over the world are showing less tolerance for mistreatment of wildlife and these parks lose a lot of guest traffic because of it.

What about disney? Animal kingdom and all.. I sure hope they atleast try.. xD I mean i'm usually not triggered by these type of things but I thought how seaworld treated their animals was pretty messed up.

SeaWorld spends annually around $70 million just on wildlife conservation and care. SeaWorld doesn't treat the animals poorly at all. Blackfish is a piss poor attempt for animal rights nuts to enforce their own agenda.

Most of the methods displayed in the documentary are outdated by almost 40 years. Blackfish takes their own biased research and bends them into a "true fact"

I hate how the whole documentary contains interview after interview. While they can be informative, interviewing opens up the possibility of bias/bribing.

Sometimes, I really do think North Korea is better off than America and this documentary supports this.

I have been to SeaWorld Orlando last november and the amount of fish they keep together in enclosed space can never be healthy. Me and my friend we getting claustrophobic vibes just looking at fish (large and small) swimming around in the same circle for the entire day because that's all the free space those animals have.

And FYI, I do not fully believe blackfish, but I don't think it's all lies and I hate PETA 100%.

Why does this have to turn into a liberal vs. conservative thing? Thats whats really wrong with the USA, and both sides are to blame for that. Not to mention that there are also quite a few international members on this site too, Do they have to fit within the Liberal or Conservative belief system that us Americans hold onto dearly just to be able to show their opinion on something? Sorry I can't stand that kind of thinking no matter what side it is, this is how civil wars start.

On topic though during my visit to Orlando(early 2011), Seaworld seemed to take excellent care of their animals and I found the day spent there to be far more educational than any of the other parks I visited, Including animal Kingdom. My thought is that if they took such bad care of their animals why would they go through the trouble of making their exhibits educational?

I go to seaworld a lot it's my home park seaworld treats there animals so good they treat them better than the employees(thanks Obama care for that)but they care about there animals so good they have been expanding the tanks(witch is still going to happen as far I've heard) the animals are there #1 priority and peta wants to kill every animal at seaworld they try so hard they take pictures from places that dont care about animals and hurts them and says there seaworld animals even though the picture came from japan
