They only run a mere 4-5 trains, sometimes 3. Last Wednesday the ride was open for 53 minutes then closed for the rest of the day. Today 11/7/2010 it would go down every other hour or so.

Was Universal telling the truth?

There were apparently warnings from Maurer Sohne that the "coupling bars" on the trains were not fatigue friendly. Universal claimed they knew about the problem before Maurer Sohne ever announced anything, Universal right before the warning came out; that they only closed the ride to do annual maintenance.

The only thing that gets me thinking is why keep closing it during the day? Are they checking for fatigue?...Who knows? The ride is way too rough anyway, the X-car has no suspension so you feel every little thing.

If you think that ride is rough then youre a pussy. Or you have never ridden a coaster but HRRR. Or you are lying.

Agreed, while it does pull some decent laterals, saying that it is rough is definitely an untrue statement. the thing rode smooth as glass when I was on it.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Maybe I should say it a different way, THE RIDE IS NOT ROUGH, you just have to feel every vibration. Ride the hulk then ride HRRR, also the trains have no suspension. I live in Florida and Travel to US and IOA almost twice a week, before I moved SFGadv was my home park. In MY opinion compared to most Intamin and B&M coasters, HRRR pulls way to many lats to not have OTSR(in MY opinion).

Calling someone a pussy over the internet takes BIG BALLS btw. Seriously? how old are you 12? let me guess you going to make a your mom joke right?

BUT....H:RRR is NOT B&M or Intaman. Its a Maurer Sohne ride. You cant compare it to other styles of building.

Oh, and that last bit of your post, just a heads up watch it.

it actually is rough...
i rode it every week from may till they closed it..
and every time it got worse..
and then the day before it closed i waited in the singles line for a hour for one ride.. they only had 2 trains running..
i do think hrrr is not worth the wait..
i think the intamin could have built better.
but, it did get very rough towards the end..
and since i do go to universal alot..
but it seemed to go slower at night in the summer and that made it less rough.
i say rip it down and build something else

Great use of the English language there and capitalization.
