While I'm waiting for an email back from NoLimits so I can get the program back after my computer being fixed now, I decided to play around a bit in Newton, and I had some ideas for the summer, so I decided, I might as well start ahead of time. And the result, is this:

Image

It's not yet finished, but I plan the ride to be a unique LSM Intamin based off of iSpeed, with a couple elements loosely inspired from Skycar, and Superman Escape.

I can't obviously go in the simulator yet, but this is what I have for now.

Any thoughts or opinions?

Uhh... That twist on the first hill looks terrible. Otherwise it looks like a nice beginning.

I think that's just the angle of the picture, but here's a picture of the vertical twist on the tophat. Does it look a bit tight?

Thanks. I'm planning to import a 30 m/s launch, and according to Newton, the speed in the roll is around 18 m/s, so it goes at en estimated 40 miles per hour through the roll.

Nothing is wrong, I just value inverted the colors in GIMP to make it look nice.

Thanks Vid! That's just the angle of the picture, don't worry. If you want me to get a better picture of it, just let me know.

The ride is currently how it is shown in the first picture, and I already have one friend helping me since at the moment I'm "blind" building the ride. When I get NoLimits back and see the ride personally for myself, I'll determine if I need any more testers.

Inverted blue isn't blue. [;)]

Apologies for the double post, but here's an update..

Blind building is alot harder than I thought! [lol]

I had a friend do me the favor of recording the ride in the simulator for me, and the pictures I showed you look alot better than the ride.

So I decided to take baby steps with this ride and work my way through one step at a time in the time that I don't have NL.

Anyways, to the progress. I made a bit of progress recently. I'm currently working on the tophat portion of the ride, and so far I enlarged the tight upward spiral as shown below:

Image

I worked on the shaping of the tophat (excluding the spiral). Let me know what you think I should do with the shaping of the drop :) .

The updated element was handed in to test, and I'm very pleased with the results:

Max +4.4 Vertical G, -0.2 Vertical G, and +0.2 Lateral G, with a very smooth track with a requirement of a couple tweaking.

I'm happy to say this ride is actually going somewhere [approve].

In fact, I just got NoLimits back earlier this week, and I have some shots in the simulator of the completed track later on in this post.

Anything on theming plans?

Of course I have theming plans! I always theme my rides! I'm going to add simple theming to this one and just test my skills in architectural design.

Now to the pictures!

The Train Zooming Up The Spiral. Notice the laterals!

Look at it go!

I don't need any testers for now, as I already have quite a few.

Looks nice so far. I've always wanted to make a TTD/Kingda Ka style ride with a 1890 degree first twist and a monsterous straight vertical drop afterwards. A 270 degree twist up isn't bad either.

Thanks Coasterkid. I don't know where you got the TTD/KK idea from, this is supposed to look like iSpeed.

My Kwansong Yolcha coaster is probably over two three times as long as your coaster.

And you're comparing that to this coaster why?
