I would of thought they would of have over head restraints as the water coaster goes vertical

I think the owners take part of the responsibility for not changing to the restraint-design like Knott's did...
I begin to question Intamin's saftey measures, I've heard too many negative storys recently. I'd liek to think it's more "bad luck" though, Intamin always seemed responsible and had great engineering, they wouldn't conciously risk something like that happening.
At any rate it's a tragic death, my thoughts and sympathy for the family.

Man, that's sad. I wouldn't like to die like that, dropping off a ride at a high area. Do they not have the same kinda restraints as knotts??? I thought they were the same.

I feel quite bad reading that, mainly because its so clocse to home. I mean, it wouldn't seem so bad to me, if it was in Japan or something, but the fact that i have been on that ride and stuff, makes it 10 times worse. It makes me think, that could have so easily have been me.[V]

That is to bad! But, not to be mean but alot of the deaths on rides are due to riders. you know, standing up. not doing what the atendent says.

I will ride on them, but I take off my tennis shoes and replace them with flip flops. I can't stand my feet all soggy and then putting on shoes and getting all wrinkled and cracked and stuff. It gives me blisters.

Hydro does have lap bars, well more like pelvis clamps really, so i dont no how they left the boat unless they were not in tight. if i left the boat and went to hospital, i would go straight back to oakwood after i get out from hospital and go on hydro straight away.
seeking BAN ME RIGHT NOW for my love.

same thing happened at Knott's a couple years ago, The exact same ride type too. But the person who died at Knott's was too fat and she went on it even after the ride op told her not too. Maybe sumtin like that happened here.
