There has been so much going on in my kooky little world. Not in a bad way though, I've been doing a lot of soul searching and it's time for a new direction in my life. So I have decided to go back to school for my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design.

I have always wanted to be a graphic designer; I got my two-year degree from what I thought was a good school at the time back in 2001 but their help with me trying to find and keep work in the graphic design field was slim to nil. I went out on my own and looked for jobs and it was then that I realized that the education that was supposed to "prepare me" for the entry-level positions didn't prepare me at all. I had to make money so I just took the 9-5 jobs and now I've come to the realization that if I don't make a change I'm going to be stuck doing a job that I don't like instead of the career that I love. I did more research this time and the school I will be going to is The Art Institutes Minnesota. Kind of ironic because I've always wanted to go to The Art Institutes Chicago but I guess life doesn't happen the way you plan it.[^]

So with the new changes that are coming and refreshing my skills with Photoshop, Illustrator, etc, I will probably not have too much time to work on my coasters or be online unless it's for school. I think this time will be better because I will have a larger portfolio and the school has an internship program of which the school I graduated from did not. Not to mention I got my Associate's Degree from a business school that offered the program and this new school is all about the creativity. I am really looking forward to it. I will try though to work on my coasters when I do have free time and post them as I can.[:)]

Well I've never seen a roller coaster by her, but Rachael stops by every now and then to talk in the Forum.

Anyway, good luck PG in finding your way!

But don't forget that behind every good man is an even better woman! LOL

School starts for me in July, so I have a couple of months to play around with my coasters. Don't go hiring the female strippers yet![sillyme]

This site is now officially a sausage fest. Guess I better start drafting that letter of resignation.[lol]

Good luck though. It's always great to hear that people are going after thier dreams, even if it took them awhile to figure out what they want or how to get there. Best of luck to you.[:D]

And there is a reason why the woman is behind the man - to give him a swift kick in the butt![lol]

In all seriousness though, thank you all for your kind words. I have always known what I wanted to do with my life, but as the saying goes "sh!t happens" and things just did not go my way for a while there. I am still young and besides, it's only when you're dead that it's really over, so I'm going to live the rest of my life to the fullest. I have positive influences in my life and I've put the BS where it belongs, in the past.[pshades]
