idea for contest?

i've got maybe an idea for a next contest. That you must fix a very bad coaster. And the best repaired coaster wins.[:)]

what do you guys think about it?

Sounds like a good idea to me, missing track sections, strange banking etc.

My idea for a contest round (already told GFA about it) was to have terraformed land with the station and lift all ready built. The station, lift and land could not be changed. The contestants could choose the coaster type and would have to complete the ride.

This is a very nice idea.
I hope that there will come a contest with this.

That says alot about most of the rct2 uploads. Fixing crap coasters [:D]. just joking. [;)]

would this be for NL or RCT2?? You said missing segments, which would be for RCT2, but you also said strange banking, which could be for NL. Deleting NL nodes would be interesting tho...

this idea has been passed on to us before, like one of the members above said, right now we're helluva busy.

I hope this is the next competition for NL.. [:p]

I was thinking first of NL but it could also be nice for rct2...

in NL can you do a suddenly 270 degree, while a 90 degree is enough, or a too sharp drop, and about the missing part, like in the middle, just no track there, can you finish it on your own... Or maybe the idea to have no station, that the lift area with brakes and ending is missing... something like that...

how bout my crappy interlock comp. from c2k that everyone ignored?
a....i didn't think so. I like the "fix a crappy ride" thing best. Can i submit one of my old rides for that one?

Neh, but seriously now. Restoring a damaged, or unfinished ride leaves little room for creativity and in most cases NL is all about creativity and not about connecting one node with the other with a smooth piece of track. Therefore I don't really like the idea, but we'll keep it in mind and maybe some day...

Bockzilla's idea has more chance to make it into a final stage. Anyway, enough talk for now. I won't have time to do a contest for a long time since I've got my final week of school and the final test period coming and we are being overwhelmed with work. So no NL or SM contest untill the end of the RCT 2 contest.
