Here's a great idea I just had! To spark interest in the threads, and perhaps revitalize the design exchange:

In a few short paragraphs, describe cool coaster concepts that you've had. Whether it's something you plan on doing in the near future (though, then it probably belongs in the Hard Hat area) or a purely inspired concept, with no thought as to how to approach it. Maybe with some input and guidance from others, that awesome idea you thought of while showering... (does that happen with anyone else?) ... may become a reality!

I'll start.

I've had this idea playing around in my head of a coaster inspired by those old Hot Wheels tracks (back when they just sold individual pieces). It would probably be a 2-seat hyper with brightly designed 1-train "cars".

It would be purely fantasy, because it would be built in a giant scale living room, with the track draped all over the furniture. (only supported by the random attachments to the table-or whatever you managed to find. (again, harkening back to childhood) Though the start point would simply be the top of the stairs, or some other high point, at some point along the track, the car would shoot though one of those battery-powered felt accelerators.

...That's all I've got so far, though.

I thought I posted on here before, but maybe I forgot to, you know, actually hit "post."
Some ideas I attempted or thought about:
-An indoor ride based on Portal 2, featuring Wheatley monitors, mashy spike plates, turrets, and the gel types.
-Slender Man: the ride (a wooden coaster with track mostly hidden behind trees)
-A B&M multi-looper called Mecha Drago, inspired by the video game MOTHER 3
-A Euro-fighter featuring a pair of corkscrews wrapping around a pair of heartline rolls
-A RMC with a heartline roll right above the station.

the last one would be good for a gci instead, since they are experienced n station fly overs and they said earlier this week that they've been ready for inversions from the begning
What are these for?

The eurofighter could be altered to be a rehash of intamin multiloopers like Collosus at Thorpe Park.

As for the hot wheels idea - I think a single X-Car just looks a bit more suitable than a single hyper cat. I suppose thats based on realism but I can't help but think single hyper cars look too short!

The rails of the hyper look more like the track to me, though it could probably be altered in construction kit.

Would you not use the two rail track and then build a trough around the car to simulate the hot wheels track?

That'd be the idea!

Also, I'll share another one...

It has two possible formats, one significantly more difficult, but probably cooler. Import a giant Pluto-colored sphere into the sim, and in the space environment create a vekhoma(?) flying track with relative down facing the 3D planet. Naturally, it would have to be hand built, and using invisible velocity modifying track segments.

Or similarly, import an even larger moon model, place it so only the very top shows in the simulator, (far enough so the model hides the corners) and in a custom environment with the earth as the sun, and make any type of track on the moon. If feeling creative enough, you could even make the gravity acceleration feel like that of the moon's.
