Wow!!! I am loving the color scheme, the supports look really legit too. Looking good so far, you gonna do car textures?

Those supports... just wow. You have some serious issues if you have the time to custom-make all of those rivets and bolts, man... [:p] but wow, they are gorgeous!

Hey I suggest simplifying your support connectors...if you can get away with reducing your curve resolution and save, for example, 5 faces without losing too much quality, that'll be something like 20 polygons per connector. Multiply that out over say 1000 instances of the object, and you've killed 20000 polygons with 30 seconds of work, without losing any appreciable level of quality.

And by the way, the title should be augmented with a subtitle: "What the first Intamin Giga Would Have Cost: $50,000,000+" lol. Long ride you got there.

^^All i did was make one group of the connectors and copy and pasted them up the tower. So i only actually made like 4 things total. Everything has just been copied. There are like groups within groups within groups and stuff. Its actually very simple, and is taking probably the same amount of time as normal supporting would for a much better looking result.

^Well in sketcup i cant just mass edit them. How would i do that quickly? Im sure theres some plugin i could use...

I would highlight the rails with an accent color just to add a little pop to your ride. Otherwise looks incredible
Gimme a good coaster and nobody gets hurt.

If you pasted the same object throughout, you should be able to edit one connector, and those changes will repeat themselves throughout automatically.

Yeah i tried that it doesnt work but you are totaly right, but the lowest my fps gets is 10 on my crappy windows 7 low graphics computer, and all the 3ds supports I have finnished. So ill TRY to do something about it, but i got too far now to go back and fix it and re copy and paste everything.

Anyways i just tried this and thought it looked so cool. I basically copied leviathan but it looks so much better on an intamin. LOOKSEE-

Damn, those supports look good!

As far as the track color goes, that could be the final. I'm trying to think of anything that would look slightly better.... maybe add a bit of blue shade or make it a bit lighter....

I've gotta be honest, and I know it's probably too late, but the drop shaping looks like an awkward incest baby between MF and I305. Not my favorite thing you've made lol. But the rest of it looks beyond phenomenal! Definitely looking forward to seeing this in action.

You think? It may just be the angle. I think it looks great! Heres a better pic with the drop and i made the track a bit bluer and lighter like you said. Looks great!

Yeah, it's still not looking right to me. I can see how it will feel awesome on the ride, but aesthetically, I'd much rather look at MF [;)]

Personally I preferred the silver track (minus the brownish rails). But as I'm sure you know by now the support work looks excellent so far. And if it's too late to reduce the poly count on the lift hill supports, at least do it for the rest of the track. From the length of it you'll still save thousands.

Make the track cream and make the supports charcoal grey.

^^^ Well there is probs not gonna be any more 3ds supports for the fps sake, and it is too late, i already lowered the poly count quite a bit though.

^^Thanks!

^Sounds like it would be cool. Ill try it.

I think cream track sounds fantastic, but stick with those blue supports?
