For bud7 - I looked at those pics and if you notice, the one is an inverted coaster, thus making it not giga or hyper, and the other two are not entirely box track, also removing them from the "real" giga list. Also, the Intamin page I was at showed that there were at least two types of intamin track able to do inversions. However, I have yet to see a box-lattice (entirely) coaster that does inversions.
For all - I have actually e-mailed Intamin AG about their lattice tracks and inversions and I will post their rsponse as soon as I get it.
You gotta tell me which one is inverted... [:p]
Anyway like bud7 already said, that track isn't the problem. The restraints are. The restraints aren't designed for inversions. You can do inversions with them though. I mean Goliath at Six Flags Holland also banks you 125????????? in the stengel dive. Also with the same lapbars, and it isn't an overbanked turn keeping you on your seat by G forces.
There are coasters though which do have lapbars and also make inversions. So intamin probably uses the horsecollar restraints on their loopers just to be 100(000000)% sure.

MF switches track styles?? where?
Just look at some pics of the ride and you'll see. All the intamin rides switch track styles depending on forces. Goliath does it, Expedition GeForce does it, Xcelerator does it, MF does it etc. [:p]

Intamin dosn't only make Hyper, Giga, and Strata coasters... they also make looping roller coasters, which yes, use the lattice track. (Not the 4-tube lattice, but the 3-tube)
**cut**
They make alot more things than just hyper's and loopers. They make woodies, impulse coasters, suspended coasters, stand-ups etc. They also make water rides and pukerides. They make about anything [:p] Just look at their site:

btw, you can find alot of interesting information there [:)]
