I can watch better quality movies and sound over the Internet, which is faster and has a bigger screen.

It's got better battery life too. [:p]

You need some good turntables though.

I've really got no idea why people hate the Ipod. I think it's because it's the it-thing at the moment to say that they suck.

I've got a green nano, it works awesome. Easy to put music on, long battery life, great sound quality, small enough to take anywhere, and looks cool. I like it.

the mp3 format works great for lots of things, mostly kids bopping around to the latest top forty crap. i see in you listening list pixies and flamin' lips. both, and the latter espescially , have very special recording and production techniques that cannot be fully appreciated in mp3 form. [blah]

the lossless codec (from apple, I believe) works pretty well if you want to compress audio, but even that can't match uncompressed audio.

I wasn't sure, if I should buy it, or not. But since the most of you say it's cool, I'm convinced! So, I'm getting it today, and i'll report later, how is it!

P.S. Some of you said, that it's just a product, that kids want and their parents hace to pay for it. Well, I'm buying it myself, with the money I gained with doing chores and my pocket money!

Still works? Yup, my iPod still works. I am in no way an Apple fanboy but I still dont get these claims. Must be from the non-users.

Yay! I finally got it! It's SO awesome! Well I have it for about 4 hours now, and I already got 120 songs, a movie and 14 games on it. The sound quality is really great and the videos are pretty watchable too. I didn't have to refill the battery yet (except for the time I connected it to the computer, while uploading), even if it was only half filled, when I got it.
So yeah, I'm totally happy about it.
