OK, well, in school I am an Honors student, which means more work to do (they say more learning)...either way, I have this questionnaire about product testing on animals, they want a MINIMUM of 25 people to respond, this is the assignment quoted from the page:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act of 1938, cosmetics would commonly contain toxic chemicals such as arsenic and mercury?????????both are potentially deadly to humans. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) doesn't require animal testing on these products. However, the FDA does support the use of animal testing to insure product safety.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time to Investigate
As a starting point, use the resource websites below to investigate and consider the facts about animal testing. Do some additional investigation of your own to see what you can discover on both sides of the animal testing controversy.

Be careful! This is a very sensitive topic and many of the websites contain opinion rather than fact. Keep this in mind when you're researching information.

Web Resources:

http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/cos-205.html

http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/science-re ... l-testing/

Your Task

Create a questionnaire to find out people's view points about animal testing.
The questionnaire should have 3-5 simple questions about animal testing for people to answer.
Survey a minimum of 25 people.
Sort your data by
age
gender
education
occupation
Note: To get this information you'll need to include these personal questions on your questionnaire.
Analyze your data (the results of the survey).
Write up a summary of your findings (what you discovered from your results).

---------------------------------------
-------------------

My questions for all of YOU PEOPLES:

1. Do you think animal testing is necessary to test product safety?
2. Do you think that the FDA and associations that "protect animal welfare" do enough?
3. Do you think that all laboratories use "humane killing" methods, considering they product test animals?

---------------------------------------
-------------------

CAN YOU HELP A DUDE OUT?[:O]

I REALLY NEED these replies, or else I will not be able to get this assignment done, reducing the REALLY GOOD grade I have in Bio.

I am only asking for 25 answers, because there is NO WAY I can get that many replies in my neighborhood, so please, RESPOND!

--------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

age
gender

--------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

Just a basic review of those things, nothing TOO showy.

-------------------
--------

It's just required, I apologize...do you think you guys can edit your responses to say those things?

And for future posters, please include that info. as well!

Please don't take this as a turn-off, it is ESSENTIAL I get this done...or...techincally, get your answers...either way...you know the story.

1. Do you think animal testing is necessary to test product safety?
No. We have scores of inmates executed and/or sitting on death row who could be used for testing. these people knowingly put themselves into this situation through actions they could have avoided and are not unsuspecting, innocent animals. Instead of killing them, where they can feel no remorse for their crimes, why not use them to our advantage?
2. Do you think that the FDA and associations that "protect animal welfare" do enough?
No. I don't think any federal organization does enough of anything because they are constantly influenced by lobbyist and special interest groups with lots of money. I don't believe they do enough to protect any animal including humans. But that could be the lead poisoning talking. Some animal welfare organization bust their bums for animal rights. Some, who's names I won't mention but one of whom's initials are PETA, are more interested in making headlines, getting attention and aspiring to become a political special interest group than they are in actually protecting animals.
3. Do you think that all laboratories use "humane killing" methods, considering they product test animals?
I think there are probably very few. Injection is the most humane form and having worked at animal hospitals, I know that it is an expensive and lengthly process. 2 things that corporations and labs are not fans of.

I am 34, Male, have a BAS and am currently unemployed. Aside from making banana sculptures.

I only need 25 replies for this survey, I just can't get that many responses in my neighborhood. I think you would also help...because you're nice! (:P)

Seriously, it's simple, all I need are 20 more replies (hopefully 19 with yours) in 3 1/2 hours.

1. sometimes yes, only if the productm is likely to be dangerous, if not, use a small amount of canditates and compensate them if problems occur, if not, increase that number.

2. no, because animals are still unhappy.

3. no. there's no "humane way to kill something, because killing is killing, you can't hide under the humane banner just because you did it quickly. yes, killing it quickly and painlessly is better for the animal, but you're still killing it, so it can never be humane.

It was either that, or get a zero, what would you have done there, taken it in stride? Or try to find some way to not get your ass chewed off, and fail the project?

If it's choice A. I know you're a liar, if it's Choice B., YOU might actually succeed in life, to contradict your uneeded comment.

This was a once in a lifetime thing I did, I never make up ANYTHING in my work. I do all of my work myself, and I am acing H.S, this was a fluke, I was hoping more people would reply, but that did not happen, so I had to procrastinate a little, and it worked.

Thank you.

I don't get it, why couldn't you have just asked your friends and family, or maybe classmates in your Biology class? That would have probably been 25 or more people. Or if you ended up having to make up 14 people, why didn't you just make up all 25 of the people in the first place?
