I am actually not as impressed with the way the ride runs the way I thought I would be. It seems to run very smooth, but boringly slow. I think I saw a snail pass the train on the MCBR. Also, I thought the train would valley as it was going into the MCBR.

Well that is the first test run without the full weight of the train, and probably extra braking on the midbrake for safety reasons.

What the hell are you guys smoking? I see a LOT of airtime there, and those overbanks look INTENSE!

The weight of riders will probably change the pacing just a bit, but I'm not that impressed by the video, though it had a shitty cameraman. I do see some decent opportunities for brief airtime moments, but the last half of the ride just seems to have dead pacing. We'll just have to see how it rides with the Texans

It has 15 moments of airtime between -0.5 and -1 g's. It's going to be awesome.

How do you know this? Am i missing something? And that sounds awesome, plus i like a variety of airtime in a ride, not just ejector on every hill. I think the midbrake is prob slowing it down more now than in will when it is open, for testing/safety purposes.

I talked to the engineers from Rocky Mountain at IAAPA and this is the number they gave me.

Yeah I'm not sure what A113's problem with me all of a sudden is.

I just know a hell a lot more about the amusement industry here and I'm just trying to make people more aware I guess...people on this site are so immature.

I love how dcs called Jakizle out on bragging about knowledge lol... It's like pot meeting darker pot.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Jake is right though.
All of the topics unrelated to designing and some even no limits related are filled with utter crap.
I enjoy this site for the occasional good designer and to learn something about designing coasters. Like from people who help, like Freddie for example. I love coasters, but you guys are intolerable.

Thank you for being a human being on this site with a brain! This site's exchange is still the BEST anywhere and has some GREAT work on it, but the maturity level of a majority of the members has gone to poop.

I remember back in the days when all the big names were around, CoasterSims was around, etc. and this site was SOOO good. That's why I spent so much time around it.

If people would just act mature, be knowledgeable and KNOW what they are saying, the quality could always return.

However, this is the Texas Giant thread. I posted information about the ride which comes from the designers. This should be GOOD INFO to discuss and be exited about, but instead a few people here aren't mature enough for those discussions.

Anyways, can't wait to ride for myself and check out the progress opening weekend...I'll be there.

Yeah, I have to agree with other airtime posts above, it will feel stronger then it looks. For example, B&M's. They seem slower and less force-full then they are, but they are indeed great rides that pack a massive punch. I believe the same applies for this ride. It will be more thrilling then it looks. And the -0.5 to -1.0 airtime? Wow!

You dipshits don't seem to understand that if you go over a small triangle hill at 5mph and it can still eject you pretty hard.

Don't be Rob, Jake. lol.

Haha, i was thinking the same.

But you know, I have an uncle that works for the company and he said that there actually is no air time at all... only the illusion of air time. Its quite impressive the technology they plan to use on this attraction in order to achieve this "illusion." But Im not supposed to say anything because they dont want people to know that there is no real air time.

Who would you rather believe... Jake's supposed IAAPA conversation or my uncle?
