JPECOOLs new site!!!!!

Hey ive just decided to set up a new site yesterday, called

scream coasters.com

Just wondering what you guys thought of these screenies. This shows my progress on the home page in about 3 hours of work. It is my first experience doing this so is confusing me slightly but im getting there. Here are some print screens. Im using a WYSIWYG editor to make the site, as i cant read complex html. [V]









Please any feed back or ideas would really help. The site will mainly be used as a coaster gallery, and for ride reviews and park reviews. Then there will be some nolimits sections and RCT sections aswell, and maybe a forum if im lucky. [:D]

EDIT: Argh, two pictures arent as big as i hoped! [:(]

oops forgot to mention, i will be adding a specila features section which will have articles in. These will cover the history of the roller coaster, and famous old rides etc that everybody should know about!

. yeh i based the homepage on this sites homepage cos i like it! I am taking features from all different sites but making them myself obviously, to make one big nice site, that noone will visit

Ive just started on the park reviews section. When you click on park reviews it goes to click a continent



You click on the continent the park is in then you come to the Select a country page



When you have chosen the country the park you are looking for is in you come to the choose a park page, which lists all of the parks featured from that country, so far i have this done on this page



This shows what will happen if you choose these selections;
Pick a continent - Europe
Pick a country - England
Pick a park

I am about to make the alton Towers guide now yay!!!! I wont obviously be able to cover all the parks i have put on the site design yet. I will leave them inactive when the site actually starts running (which is along way off), until i get to visit them! I may ask some individuals if they will supply me with any photos. But not yet

...? Europeans invaded your country? Americans and Canadians (?) are all decended for Europe as we are the ones that actualy found your country. Well apart from the natives, but being the genious people were back in those days, they wipe all those people out anyway. I dont know much history on America and frankly dont care...although really there isn't much history to be honest...you've only been around a century or two. Plus your history is plain boring...British history rocks, all these times we've been invaded by celts, vikings, normans, romans. Corruption and torture and what not...good old knights of the round table...man we rule over here in England...Im going to go get my 500m x 300m union jack flag out and drap it round my house. Im then gonna go print out another 5 million of these flags and post them on the tops of houses street corners anywhere really....because flags represent so much these days. If i ever saw a british flag eing burnt i dont know what i'd do...declare war maybe...no wait, i'd go buy another one...I'm done, i'm off to do some fox hunting whilst drinking tea round Buckingham palace...if they let foxes in there.

Yeah it was the Europeans who came and found america really. The only other people there were Mountin men and Native American Indians. The settlers (the Europeans) ended up crowded on one side of America. Then some began to move west to California and Oregon, on a trecherous 3800km passing through the Rockies in the Wagon Trains. Then the Indians began getting angry, and so did the settlers (cant remember why though at this point, (and ive just written 7 pages about it for History)). So then the settlers kill all the buffalo so the Indians cant survive! They totally ruin the Indian race because of Manifest Destiny or something. Cant remember,and i really dont wanna after writing soooo much about it.

Anyway can we get back on topic, does anyone have an opinion, or suggestion about my site. Thanks. And Screamomatic, sorry, but when the site is put up it will mainly be a european site until i am older and get to travel to different parks more. Although when i go to America in Easter 2006, i will hopefully get some updates for the site! Dont expect the site to be up for a long while though yet. Maybe the end of this year!

Yeha i knwo, i only got AOL broadband cos it has no download limits, and its till pretty fast. I know there are alot better ones out there though. Im just about to start the alton towers section again on my site, Yay

Okay im gonna start asking people if they would like to supply photos to the site! If you would like to then please feel free to say so in this forum. I dont need the photos yet, but when i do i will contact people who have put their names down!

P.S I need people from all over the globe! Even somebody else from the UK would help. Just with pictures, nothing else though. I will give people credit on the site for their pictures

Well, I've got some nice pics of Alton Towers I took last October that I was going to put on RCDB, but even though at the time there was only like 6 pictures of spinball, they didn't want my spinball pictures ahwell, you can use them instead [;)]

I may just ask you for them. Do they inlcude any pics of Corkscrew, the rapids, the mine train or anything like that aswell???? I have my ones of nemesis and oblivion and that, but more cant hurt!

You just named the three rides that I don't have any pictures of . I have an onride picture of the logflume if that helps in the slightest[lol] It'ay even called the logflume anymore so porobably no help at all hehe.

Having said all that, I'm going in a weeks time and I'm taking my digicam, you can "order" some photos if you like, just tell me what you want and I'll get them [:)]

Damn it lol, there the only 3 rides i dont have a picture of. I tend to just take pictures of the biggest rides, to leave space on my camera for more pics of the better rides. I seem to be lacking pictures from most of the areas in the park, lol. Do you have any pics that werent taken in X sector, Forbidden Valley, or Adventureland? I will still have the ones that were though, if you still want to give them in to the site. BTW, i just posted some pics of Drayton Manor in the Barnstorm section on this site in Coaster news!!!!! Cant wait

Okay, just get as many pictures as you want of different rides around the park. Any you want. Then i'll be getting some aswell when i go which is in the next 2 weeks or something so we will end up with a load. Then i have a few of Lightwater valley to add. Some of pleasure Island Cleethorpes, but i have none of Drayton at the moment, i lost them. And i have none of Fantasy island which is stupid considering it is one of my local parks, lol.

^Just a first representation of the site. Only has a few page sand options, nothing much, and some of the images and things dont work yet, but i have had to edit it slightly so it could fit on freewebs. Im only using freewebs just to show what i have done on the site so far. But it will not allow the background image on freewebs, so i ahve changed that to a colour. I had also done the links wrong when making the site, so i have spent a very long time trying to change the links and read complex html, when i dont know much about it. lol. Anyway its just quick. When ou get to the alton towers page, none of the images work because freewebs wont hold them as they are too large files for a free account!

EDIT: you wont even be able to get to the alton towers page. You will only get as far as the select a country page at the moment. I will fix the link now hopefully.

reduce file size on that Nemesis picture, it's way to large, almost 500 kb. The header in my opinion is way to large in height size. Maybe CSS the links to add rollover effect or something. Border the thing up since your header is not made for 100% width, I'd suggest table and border your items up.
