Just confirmed that I have the swine flu

I had been sick this past weekend, but I thought it was simply a sinus infection, as I have those a lot. When the antibiotic I was taking didn't seem to be helping, my mom suggested that she take me to a nearby doctor. My fever had risen to 101.5, and I was tested for the swine flu. The results came back positive, and now I am at my computer typing this, while wearing a mask. To top all of that, my mom is expectant and she has been greatly exposed to my sickness. Also, just this morning, my 9 year old brother who has a low immune system, was coughing (which is how mine started out). Thankfully, my dad is a pharmacist and knows exactly what I should take for it.

I thought I heard some stuff recently on the news that they had found a cure, or something to slow it down on getting infected. I can't remember exactly what it was.
Anyhow, Good luck with the situation.

My dad has already had it, it is just a REALLY REALLY bad cold,
and dirk, tamiflu has been around for a while; if that is what you are thinking about. Also they have created a vaccine, but it is going to be very expensive to roll out

Yeah, i've had a weak form of SwineFlu during the summer holidays, but it passed and i got on TamiFlu before it could worsen.

I was actually sick about 2 weeks ago, and I had a slight case of it in my bloodwork. Not enough to be extremely cautious. The Doc said it was pretty much a 48hr thing, and he was right. A few days later I was just fine. Those 2 days were crappy though!

Since I don't want to waste server space, I will add to your topic disaster,

I went to the doctor to get tested for swine because my fever topped 104.5*F (<I really don't know how) and I had been home sick for 3 days, my test came back positive. so now I am bored out of my mind at home

That sucks. My friend got it, and apparently had it when he was around me. I was LUCKY not to get it.
