Screamscape reported that Kennywood's 2018 coaster plans have been leaked.

This is the supposed blueprint of the coaster.

It is expected to go in the plot of land behind Racer, Log Jammer, and Jack Rabbit.

That's alot of straight sections, hopefully some nice airtime hills or launches.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Some of those S-curves look similar to what Mack are doing with BPB 2018 & at the end of Helix - they also are fond of a prelift section so perhaps could be another Mack investment?

I was wondering if the bit on the bottom is the RMC overbanked turn in the wrong direction thing they like to do.

that curve on the left side has a tighter radius than the prelift. If it's wood, I'd say Gravity Group, they like that stuff.

^ I'm wondering how long this layout will be, because there's a lot of straight or (maybe) flat-out sections. If this is not a RMC, I want to see some tunnels.

My two cents here. :)

I'm wondering if that could be a darkride section like Lost Coaster. I believe the Timberliners can do like 6' radius curves. Anyone able to figure out where in the park that is? The text says building but I can't make out the rest.

It's most likely an rmc not a gavity group. That turn is probably at the top or the bottom of the lift.

the station and transfer building are clearly marked and nowhere near that curve. the curves into and out of said building are also a wider radius than the one in question and I don't think RMC's trans can navigate something like that.

Rmc was spotted scouting out that area. And sense when did the lift have to be next to the station? Especially when the station is on top of a 100 foot hill. And I think the radius is about the same really anyway.

Hmm, how large do you guess is that construction site in feet or meters? :)

Kennywood's Log Jammer To Take Final Drops
Log flume ride to be retired at end of 2017 Summer Season to make room for future

WEST MIFFLIN--As Kennywood's 2017 Summer Season winds down and we look ahead to 2018, we've come to a very hard decision: the Log Jammer will retire at the end of this season.
To celebrate 42 years of our favorite logs, Kennywood invites friends, families and Pittsburgh visitors to enjoy one last ride down the 53-foot drop chute before the summer season comes to an end on September 17.

While we know that the Log Jammer is a beloved ride for many of our guests and has been for us as well, we're looking forward to exploring exciting new developments in that corner of the park in future seas

"It is a bittersweet decision, but one that in time will create some exciting opportunities for our guests," says Kennywood General Manager Jerome Gibas. "While no final decisions have been made regarding what will replace the Log Jammer, Kennywood is committed to enhancing our guests' experiences while preserving our signature balance of modern thrills and traditional family favorites."

The Log Jammer debuted at Kennywood in 1975 as the park's first million-dollar attraction. The site of the Jammer was previously home to attractions including the Kangaroo, Loop-O-Plane, Bayern Kurve, a Ferris Wheel, and, from 1930 until 1974, a pony track.

Well there goes the only spillway drop in the world. It's always sad to see a log flume go, but this does open up the possibility of a new coaster that uses the ravine.

Log flumes or other similar rides are a type of ride I do not want to see go extinct.

Log Flumes have some good "lat" g-forces, too! I recommend you to spread your arms to (effectively) get soaked! x'D This is how I have some fun on similar rides.

Some warning would've been nice, three days isn't enough to get myself back home from college for a last ride. Whatever replaces this better be worth it!

Speaking of, is there any news or rumors since like, we first saw the pictures of the rumored layout? I have heard nothing since then.

Time for a bit of an update regarding what is going to be replacing the Log Jammer. Construction has begun a while back and some supports have been poured:

Also, just today, the park has started teasing the 2019 ride. Every Thursday, the park will reveal a new number which will give us clues into what the new 2019 ride will be.

So what is the 2019 attraction rumoured to be. Well, RMC were in the running to built the new attraction, but was dropped due to the stability requirements for the terrain for wooden and steel structures. It now looks like the new ride will be an Intamin Multi-Launch coaster that will utilise the terrain, feature several inversions and use the former Railroad building like the original RMC was going to use.

EDIT: We have of first number, 197.

Wonder if it's a semi shuttle triple launcher with a 197ft non inverting loop making it the largest. Seems like a good spot to fit a soaring dragon type coaster

Oh I soooooo hope it's intamin! I'll support your theory but go with a 197ft spike.
