I had a dream recently where I was there with it completed and opened, and it also had an RMC version of the Stella side, and they were dueling.

Are they pretending this is a wooden coaster or no?

RMC passing off their coasters as woodies almost irritates me as much as larson loopers being called rollercoasters.

The Topper track coasters technically count as wooden, but I personally put them and the Intamin PreFabs in their own category

Should be a neat experience when it's done, although I kind of feel like those inversion drops are a waste lol.

Kentucky Kingdom already has a steep first drop on one of its coasters, so it's nice to see a more unique approach on Storm Chaser's first drop.

What do you mean by soft opened? Storm Chaser will likely open on Kentucky Kingdom's opening day next year in April. I don't see how there could be a soft opening unless there is some season pass preview day the weekend before.

One of the related topics is a dated topic from 2010 about "Kentucky Kingdom plans for a B&M." I kinda wonder if that plan eventually evolved into either Lightning Run and/or Storm Chaser since $15 million would not have been enough for a substantial B&M in this day and age.
Even with an all steel RMC with a barrel roll drop and another similar non-inverting ride across the park, part of me still wonders about what could have been. Kinda like when I play a video game or watch a movie and hear or read about ideas that the script writers originally wanted to include that were very different from the final product.

With an inverted drop, steeper would likely mean less air anyways, though the angle toward the ground would be fun.

It looks nearly identical Medusa's first drop in terms of its steepness. So, in my opinion, we are not missing out on that much.

Anyone who has been on Medusa will tell you, these are some of the best first drops in existence.
