The splashdown section is going to look beautiful if they really scene it out like this:

And it's so tacky that they're using two different colored supports. It's just not good...

^They Said that ride construction would be just about done around Thanksgiving, so I would think they would be able to spend a lot of time on theming, besides those renderings are almost always just about dead on, I'd believe they'll put that in.

It seems like are not using the terrain enough. In every section where there is a small valley, it seems that they are gonna have a hill. It does not make much sense, seeing as they actually have some cool terrain to work with.

yeah but imagine how hard it would be to take advantage of that terrain when you've got a 200 foot high coaster. When its a hyper, you cant really take advantage of terrain very well, unless it is really extreme terrain.

Anyway i think it looks like an awesome ride, probably my favourite out of all the B&M hypers i think, layout wise etc. Hopefully it will be as good of a ride as it looks it will be.[:)]

I really don't see how people can call this a modified Nitro, The basic L-shape is the same but It has More Crossovers, one more helix, a turn at the bottom of the first and second drop, and a splashdown.

That rendering looks so incredible.

And yes, I agree, the yellow supports are tacky. That's the word.

im so excited for this ride, for those of you who don't know, there is a coasterdynamix roller coaster model of the entire diamondback from start to finish, only missing the watersplash. THis ride looks AMAZING!!!! great colors, cool name, fast and adrenaline crazy pace...
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

and your point is?! Busch Gardens seems to have more extreme terrain than Kings Island! The point is, Apollos chariot has much bigger features in the landscape around it that it can take advantage of. Now i may be wrong, because ive never been to Kings Island, but from the renderings, the difference in land elevation at Kings Island seems alot less extreme, making it much harder for designers to really use it to their advantage. Its hard to take advantage of the terrain unless there are some relatively prominant hills, and from the renderings, this didnt seem to be the case at Paramounts.

I've seen the Terrain bake their and it's nothing like BGE. KI's seem to have more dramatic and smaller features, they were lucky to even use the ravine that they did, and they had to enlarge the ravine greatly.

Besides, I'm sure this will be a great coaster, terrain or no terrain. Nitro, Goliath (SFOG), Behemoth, and Goliath (LaRonde) were all built on flat plains, and they turned out great, I don't see why Diamondback shouldnt!

Just a thought that came up in my mind. It would be awesome if NL2 had this train style for a hyper. That would be amazing. Also the ride looks fantastic and hopfully a semi forcefull to forcefull ride like most B&M megas are.

^I have no doubt in my mind that the first helix will have plenty of G-Forces, along with the bottom of the drops

And along with NL2 having the new trains, I guess it depends on how difficult it is to program it (Why Multi-Dimensions havn't been released), and how many coasters have that style. So far just Behemoth and Diamondback, if they become wildly popular than I wouldn't be surprised.

^It would be just as hard to create those trains as it would to make any other static train...

yeah, they do have ejector sometimes but floater is their main thang, you'll find ejector more on intamins (i think)
