You're right. Let's just let the gimmick of world's longest wooden coaster continue its thing. I for one love feeling the trims every 100 feet after the first trimmed drop. What's that? 500 feet of banking transition? Better trim it. At least it's the world's longest wooden coaster! We'll continue riding that wave and just build a GCI instead for you all to enjoy.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

Shoulda GCI reprofiled Beast like they did BD
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

I hope you realize those trims were designed into the ride. You realize that if there were no trims, your ribs would be smashed into a million pieces on every turn, right? Those trims are there so that you can appreciate traveling through the forest rather than barreling through it through obnoxiously wide turns. But maybe you forget that those turns have fantastic laterals. Maybe you forget that sliding down that second drop into a dark tunnel before getting thrashed into the side of your seat is one of the greatest moments of any coaster ever.

I understand that you probably don't appreciate Beast as much as others do (and there are plenty of those people who do not care that it is the longest) , but if you don't at least like it, there might be something wrong. It is a good coaster with great laterals and one of the most genius progression of elements on any coaster. Maybe you should be pushing for less banking on the final helix or moving the trims on the first drop over to the straightaway rather than pushing for a ride (that any person should at least admit is good) to be completely trashed. Unless you want me to start pushing for Banshee or Diamondback to be removed because they are mediocre at best... Would that make sense?

I rode it before the skid trims were replaced with the new ones, and the ride was MUCH faster back then. Idk what you're talking about with the whole progression of elements thing, there are terrain coasters which flow a hell of a lot better than Beast and have a better array if elements than straight section, turn, straight section, turn etc. The helix is the only part that stands out as fantastic, and even that rides much slower than it used to. I honestly don't get any of the hype, and I'm usually the last guy to dislike a wooden coaster.

Totally agree. I rode it back in the day before it's current trim breaks and it was so much better. I won't ride the beast at all unless it's at night. I enjoy traveling through the forest when it's pitch black. It's pretty fun. Other than that, the ride is just so drastically overrated it's not even funny.

Ayyyy! How's it goin? Great to see the old Coaster Fuel crew together!

I actually just rode it for the first time last week and fell in love with it. I'm sure you're right, but my point is that the trims are extremely necessary. And I still found most of the turns to be forceful. By progression of elements I was talking about the acceleration the final lift hill and crazy helix. I loved the way the entire ride is a led up to a helix that really doesn't disappoint. I certainly would have liked to seen a more forceful ride and a helix that is less banked, but I don't see RMC as the solution. Honestly, though, I did like the way the second drop banked into the tunnel, even though it kills potential laterals. And by the end of the day, the back car delivered better than I could have ever imagined. Really, it just worked for me, and if you're not in love with it, I'm sure you think it's a good ride that should stick around and maybe be improved by GCI because it is unique. To be honest, I thought I would have been the last person to love Beast, but it delivered on pacing and everything better than I could have ever imagined.

And slosprint, I know Boulder Dash does everything better, I'm not an idiot

I feel like I'm in the minority when I say I actually like how Mystic Timbers looks. Its layout is incredibly similar to Prowler at Worlds of Fun, which is one of my favorite coasters anywhere.

I bet you can use enough adjectives and descriptors to even make that brake run sound amazing!

Brakes were designed with high-tech environmentally friendly gravity-induced acceleration.

Perhaps their second announcement is not a big one because Mystic Timbers is already their great weapon! :)

Please let them actually do that to the Eiffel tower. And do the ice skating on the pond.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

Jesus Christ GCI is really coming back this year! They have 5 confirmed coasters being built so far, and very likely a sixth at Alton. Lets hope they aren't all duds.

Neither Prowler nor Gold Striker are duds. In fact, I'd put them up against any mid sized Wooden coasters in the US.

I don't think a GCI can really ever be a dud. They are all fun no matter what. I suppose age could do them in, but even Wildcat and Roar(SFA) don't bother me. When they are forceless like American Thunder, White Lightning, or Lightning Racer, they still have a very fun pace with quick pops all over the place. Every park will benefit from a GCI even if they make it more of a family coaster.

This makes me a little more happy for Alton's creation assuming it is a GCI. We know it's going to be a more family orientated ride but I was worried that it'd be a horrible excuse for a rollercoaster like Thirteen is.

I don't know, but to me Invadr doesn't look all that great. Otherwise I completely agree with your statement. Even the ones that aren't their best designs at least look beautiful.
What are these for?
