I havn't been there before, but I heard so many great things about that park. Phoenix has amazing airtime, and since it has buzzbars you are ejected violently and slam over a foot high into it on like 9 hills, there are supposedly 18 moments of airtime total. The brakes are also on a huge curve which is very cool.

Twister I heard has amazing laterals and crossovers, and the 2 piece lift is sweet. I heard it only has a couple moments of air, but is still an awesome ride.

BTW, its Knoebels, not Knobels [;)]

I'll be going this year during the PPP (Phoenix Phall Phunfest), and I heard that the ride ops make it so the coaster enthusiasts can have more fun. so you can do tons of stuff that normally wouldn't be allowed, like take On Ride Vids and stuff.

Even thouh I havn't been there yet, I know someone who went there than has the exact same views on coasters and amusement parks as me, and he said that CP or any of the big parks don't even compare.

Twister(formerley Mr.Twister).

That is incorrect. The original Mr. Twister, designed by John Allen, was at Elitch Gardens, but sadly, it was torn down [:(] It was one of the best coasters that ever existed also.

Twister @ Knoebels was inspired greatly by that ride, but even though its a very awesome ride, the original Twister was claimed to be much better still. Twister has the cool turns at the top of the lift, the helix, and a turnaround all inspired by Mr. Twister.

I'm not sure but I think that Bobcoaster might have ridden the original Mr. Twister., you might want to ask him about it if he did [:)]

Ah, the Phoenix...the most fun I have had on a coaster outside of climbing the Big Dipper@Chippewa in the snow. Phoenix could make even saddam smile....and twister will knock the boots off of you...one of the most intense rides out there.

And you say "older style rides". Is that some sort of racist comment? They might be old, but they pack much more fun then the kiddie stuff they build today and try to pass off as real coasters.

I need to make a trip to Knoebels this summer. I'm not that far from Knoebels (about 2 and a half hours) yet I've never been there.

Lucky [:P] I'd go to Knoebels all the time if I was that close to it.
