I went to Knott's the other day and got on all the rollercoasters but still couldnt decided what coaster was better. Xcelerator or Ghostrider? What do you think?

Ghost Rider is way better, when its taken care of. Xcelerator is fun and all, but it just leaves you wanting more then you have to go back into the line again, and do it all over again. Now if you could do that launce 10 times in a row, I'd either be dead, or I'd be in an earthly heaven.

I voted for other simply because I haven't ridden either one. I'd have to say both look equally fun and intense.

I'd say Xcellerator though I havent gotten the chance to ride it, as Ghostrider has gone from one of my top 3 woodies to one of my average ones in one year, as Knotts has really let it get rough to an out of hand level, when it opened it was just like the Georgia Cyclone with how it paced and the smoothness, and to G-force, please stop spamming, and you just posted 3 more polls, and shockingly theyre practically useless.

even tho ghostrider is good i think xcelerator still beats it. xcelerator was a lot different when i went there 2 years ago, when the ride didnt have the extra cross beam in the middle of the top hat so it shook a lot more than it should have. but that made it more intense.

Xcelerator. Its one of the best steel coasters I've been on, and Ghost Rider isn't running near as good as it could be, thanks to CF.

GhostRider is one of CCI's gems. It has great airtime, awesome speed throughout, and so many headchoppers. Plus, I'm a wood freak, so that is the kind of ride that I just live for.

Just curious cjd, how long ago was the last time you rode it. It is one of the best designed woodys ever made, i agree with you there, but over the last year or 2 it has really gone down the dumps, the lack of trackwork really shows and makes Ghostrider much worse than it should be.

uh, I rode it on a POV video that was a year old. Same goes for Xcelerator. You can tell when you've played No Limits too much when you can look at a POV video and tell where there is airtime / laterals / speed / acceleration. I've ridden so many coasters on NL that I can watch a POV video and do that. And most likely, half the people responding here haven't ridden it officially either, so call it a very educated guess. Xcelerator clearly is the best [:D]. Although I have not been to knotts, I think its pretty easy to see that compared to the rest of the rides there xcelerator is by far the best, purely for its thrill. And I'm not into wooden rides [;)]

It doesnt have much air, besides thedrop out of the MCBR in the back seat, and the laterals are lacking IMO. The last helix isnt very powerful. I'm sure it would be better than Xcelerator though if it was retracked.

Yea, I agree IntaminFan. When it was built, it was filled with insane lats and good airtime, but now it has lost all that and is just rough.
