Hello coaster friends. Given the fact that I've been very quiet about my No Limits work for entirely too long, I wanted to introduce you to one of the projects I've been working on. The scene is pretty far along, and as I move on I'll be working on adding both detail and theming elements. The theming will be important to the ride experience, though I assure you the ride itself is primary and it is designed to be one that would stand out even with few extras.

Trackwork is complete and the quality of course is on par with that of Cypher III. How/when I support it will depend on when I finish the theming in relation to when NL2 is projected to come out. I will release more information and pictures as I go.

Thank you,

-Daniel

Can I test it? I can send you my WIP Jet Hole, Dark Ride/Jet Coaster in return.

Not looking for any testers, sorry. Trackwork is done and I have a couple people I go to for thoughts on scenery, so I should be set. Thank you though.

Any deep bottomless mine shafts or super scramble blackholes in this ride?

There is a mine building and at least one tunnel. You may imagine or assume they are super scramble and bottomless if you'd like. :P

A mine building and at least one tunnel!? Maybe there's even a roller coaster somewhere! =D

GerstlCrazy, there is in fact a roller coaster here somewhere, and to prove it I will show off a brand new rendering of TWO FLATRIDES! haha

mkingy, I wouldn't call it a Mystery Mine style ride. The style of coaster is very different, even though the most visible aspects of the theme are similar.

So anyways, I'm pretty much done with all my background rides (as well as a lot of the other scenery...but we'll get there later). To celebrate here's a nice picture of a Wave Swinger with a Skycoaster in the background. I didn't texture the Wave Swinger...it's not right next to the track so it'll probably be ok this way. If I'm not killing computers with a high number of textures I may add some later. Also, I'm adding the cables to the Skycoaster now. The coaster in NL will be set during the day, but I thought a night shot with some nice lighting would be more fun here :) Enjoy!

EDIT: Skycoaster is done.

Oh my gosh, could it be!? I see a Vekoma Mine-train! There! In the background! Now we can finally take interest and provide feedback since we're a roller coaster community!

lol I love the interest and feedback...luckily it'll be for something a bit more exciting than a Vekoma mine train.

I only act like a dork because I want more revealing pictures... It's not everyday that a talented designer posts a hard-hat topic

Sooo my exit ramp will be ADA compliant/wheelchair accessible. Just thought you all would like to know that. And even if you didn't, I wanted to say it anyways bc I'm spending extra time to make that happen lol.

Implying that it might still be a Eurofighter of some sort :P I'm very interested - mining / wild west is my favorite theme for rides! Scenery looks very good!

It's not a Eurofighter :) But thanks for the compliment on the scenery!

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! I probably won't be online much tomorrow for obvious reasons, so I wanted to finally share some simulator pictures with you guys. Lazarus is an Intamin prefabricated wooden coaster set in a section of what could be a real amusement park. There are some pretty sweet features to set it apart from your standard Intamin wooden coaster...more on that later :) As always with my rides, my goal was to design something within a given style, but with plenty unique flavor...basically a ride one can see being built at a real park by a real designer/manufacturer, and something different enough to still stand out and be special.

I'm not sure what I'll be doing about a timeline of releasing in NL2, given there won't be Intamin woodies right away and there are a couple other restrictions that would hold it back, but at least everyone will have a nice visual of things to come, at some point. Note that it's still in progress, so you will see things like black faces on .3ds objects, a completely untouched support structure (to be done in NL2), lack of cartexture...things like that. I'll take care of all that, of course. For now, I hope you enjoy what you see, and feel free to post any comments you may have :) Thanks!

This looks absolutely stunning. The 3DS work might just distract me from the ride itself :p

Thanks guys. cool5, of the two shown, one is a B&M invert, and the other is an older style woodie...not quite ACE classic, but also not RMC hybrid lol. Something along the lines of Cyclone SFNE, but still an original design.

After release. They're not quite as high of quality, the Intamin woodie is primary.
