Hey, you all know about the new Voyage going in at HW. Its big, its fast and it deserves a recreation.

I've got an idea to have a multi person project for doing it since having 2 or 3 people working on something that massive would be nearly impossible. This isn't a track tennis nor is it a job designation project. Its more of an invite track tennis. Its coming to the point where we have several images and renders of the ride that I believe we can start it and finish and release it on the opening day of Voyage. Thats 7 months to complete.

If you want to join or think you'd be interested (you only have to be good at ONE thing) please post here with a link of another work of yours and what you'd be interested in doing. You don't have to be the best but with 7 months, it will hopefully get very close to the real deal.

Well I dont think it would be that hard of a project for one person to recreate. I could do it pretty accurately on my own and would personally prefer that. But You cant even come close to an accurate recreation of it in NL. Its wayyyyyy to large.

7 months would hopefully be enough, enless your like Real [lol] . I'm not gonna do anything, because I feel I'm not skilled enough in any aspect to attempt such a MASSIVE project.

EDIT- He's right, it probably wouldn't fit in that restrictive template.

I may be good at steel supports, but wood? Nope. Hopefully you can find someone Jim. Best of luck.

I was planning on doing supports in 3ds, only if no-one else wanted to do them.

If it won't fit the normal way, it will certainly fit from corner to corner.

umm, I'd hate to burst your guy's bubbles, but the template isn't large enough to create an accurate portayal of the Voyage, the GG got a modified template which allowed them to build over a larger area.

It is, its an invite track tennis. You ask to join, I say yay or neh. The only reason its invitation is that if you do the regular, theres always one section that turns out like crap.

The only problem with this is people don't know if their good enough and they don't want to be rejected. Hopefully people can overlook that.

Haha, right now the project is Voyage until it can be PROVEN that it won't fit. After that it will probably be Thunderhead or something thats up on the Amusement Today list.

What about a Hades recreation? That could turn out well if we got a few people to work on each part.

To prove it won't fit= Take the accuall physical horizontal space that voyage takes up and look at how big your NL template is, Its a tad smaller than we can fit. And since it's a square, placing it diagonally won't do you much better.

Hades is currently in progress by a small group, I'm in it. =P

A racer might be interesting and fun, we'll see. As of now though, its Voyage. That is the big one on the map now and its the most amazing IMO.

*Hopes nobody mentions El Toro* Hehe.

If I'm not correct, being its a square then going diagnally would give you 50% more space than doing vertical/horizontal.

Well by the time we get to spacing issues (if the update will have updated templates) then the update will be out and we'll be ok.

There would have to be a limit though, Already with the max space you have right now if you fill it all up you're FPS won't do to well :/.
