At saturday me and 7 other people from the Norwegian coaster club visited LiseBerg. The weather was great, and even though it was a lot of people in the park, we never waited more than 30min in que.
We headed for Kanonen first, but it was still closed, so we decided to take a ride at Balder. We started with the front seat. After Balder we headed in line for Kanonen which had opened. It's realy amazing how they managed to fit this ride in the park. It's built basicly over Balder's que. Og course we headed for front seat. After maybe 15min we got on the ride. The view down the launch track is great. The launch was amazing and realy powerfull. The rest of the rides os pretty much a blur. The direction change after the loop is crazy and propably the best part about the ride. The top hat is very small, but very good. Diving vertical down towards the water was realy cool. The hearline roll is taken slow and is a perfect ending on a great ride. This is a perfect addition to LiseBerg, and its amazing too see what they got out of this very limited area.
After Kanonen we tried Top Spin and the pretty good Flume Ride before we headed for LiseBergs Banan. The que was pretty long, but this coaster runs five trains so it goes realy fast. Once more we took the front seat. This ride is just fun. It got evertyhing: some nice positive G's, airtime, fast direction changes and an awesome terrain. It also go around/over/under many other attractions. My favourit part is the airtime hill over the flume ride and the turn around the S&S drop tower. Amazing coaster.
After some food we headed over to the parks kiddie coaster. Some of the group hadn't been to LiseBerg before, so they had to get credit[;)] Then we headed for the haunted house. It's formed like a hotel, where you walk through in a line. They got real actors in there.. This is the only haunted house that actually manages too scare me. We then headed for Kanonen again, but it was broken down. So we decided to take another ride at Balder. This time in the back seat. This ride is amazing in the back seat, and easilly my favourit woodie. The first drop is the best part. And the rest of the ride is great. A nice mix of airtime and turns. Every hill deliveres great air-time, and the tunnels only adds too the overall feeling. Also you got a lot of head choppers. After two rides at Balder we headed back too LiseBergs banan where we had 5 rides in a row.
Then some more flats before we headed back to Balder for some night time rides. Kanonen was still closed. Balder was great in the dark, and I have never had so much fun on a coaster before. Everyone was shearing, and we was shaking hands between the cars. It was realy fun, and a great way too end our day.
In total I got 7 rides at Balder, 6 at LiseBergsbanan, 1 at Kanonen and we tried most of the flats. Liseberg is an amazing park, and we had a great day. They now got a IMO perfect coaster line up. Too bad Kanonen was broken down. But I had a lot of fun and I'm definiatly heading back again next year.
