Through a friend on the site while I wasnt allowed here, I had him get me the rules and template for the Rocket Coaster SM Challenge you had awhile back here. He mentioned they were running one and I had been working on my own rocket coaster. I was curious as to the rules and regulations surrounding the challenge so he passed em to me and I started to work.
Even though I had no intentions of uploading (since at the time, I didnt think of coming back) I played with the template and worked some stuff up.
Then, as usual, I began to get good ideas and most of all, the track work came together to be some of the smoothest pump-free track I had ever done. I continued and over the course of a couple weeks I ended up finishing and completing the layout, fully complying with the rules and such. The supports are also some of the best work Ive done or seen, which took me a full week to complete. I made sure all supports are connected at all the proper angles and theres no bad joints or weak areas. Making sure every joint connected to the track at the PROPER angle took forever, but is worth the result since almost every track I see at any site has just auto supports, and even if they are custom, few take the time to make sure they connect at the same angle as the track is banked (at least for Intamins)
This ride has been uploaded over at CS and is the highest rating SM coaster over there. (which has little to do with here, but this is my smoothest SM ride to date, and I think is still one of the smoothest Ive ever seen)
Heres some screens, Ill upload tomorrow before I leave for Tennessee for thanksgiving, and some Dollywood (THUNDERHEAD!) mixed in there as well
