Hello Everyone:
I wanted to create this topic on the forum so that other people who use mac can benefit from my experience. There is a lot of talk on here about how people that use NL for Mac are not able to take advantage of the tools, but I've been able to get all of the tools working great on my new MacBook Pro, without having to run BootCamp.
A couple of days ago I posted a topic about having problems with the the 3d view of NL and Elementary while running Windows XP through VMware Fusion and Parallels for Mac. When I switched to the VMware Fusion and Parallels to use Windows, the 3d view of Elementary and NL would go in crazy circles rendering it almost impossible to zoom in\out and navigate through the element.
I tinkered around with my computer for a couple of days, and I was able to find a resolution to this issue. The problem was that on the Windows virtual machine, the driver for the mouse was set by default to the Mac track pad. I was able to easily update the driver, restart my computer, and it completely fixed the problem. The only issue is that you can't move the mouse outside of the virtual machine. The easiest thing to do is just hit the Expose button on the keypad or hit the Apple Key and Tab. That works well.
I hope that this helps other people. All you have to do now is set up a shared folder between the Virtual machine and your mac, and then you're all set. Parallels and Fusion walk you through the process of a shared folder, though.
