Today announced 'The Ride Guide' on their forum that all of the Maurer Sohne?????????s coasters, which use the X Car train, have currently ceased operation.

The coupling which holds together the 2 cars of the train has recently been deemed to have fatigue issues and that it isn't endurable.

Apparently the coupling?????????s hasn?????????t been handling the stress as it should and as a precaution all the X Car coasters will be evaluated.

so coasters with one car like Formule X are still in operation?
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

I assume they would still be open, because the problem is the coupling between the 2 cars.

hmm... There is a new invention called yarn that might be able to help. Just a few knots later and WA LA! You have a reliable coupling. On a more serious note, I wonder how long it will take to develop a new coupling. I hope this doesn't bankrupt Maurer Sohne, as companies have been known to go under for less, and in a better economy.

What will this mean for my new NL track that has 4 Xcars per-train! noooo!

you would think though it would've taken a lot shorter to find this out, how long as G-Force, Abismo and Sky Wheel been operating

Well since the problem is how the coupling wears out over time it would take a while to find out.

I thought this would be about how easily they stall considering I was there a day when G-Force stalled before the brakes.

I think Rip N Rocket can probably operate with a single car per train, but with a loss in capacity.

Ah, Thank You Yoshi.

After reading the TSB, it doesn't sound to bad to me. These things happen from time to time in the industry so nothing to really worry about.

I agree, when reading the document they have some really nice security measurements taken.

If I understood the document correctly the coasters aren't going to be down for long periods of time. With the old coupling it would go through strict supervision until modification or replacement.

It is my understanding that RNR is presently closed, however officially the park says it is for "routine seasonal maintenance". Because it totally makes sense to completely overhaul a brand new ride right before and/or during a major seasonal event like Halloween Horror Nights.

Consider the effect that would have on capacity.

Would the capacity be worse than when it's not operating at all?

1 car per train probably drastically affects pacing, and without knowing anything I'm willing to bet the station, sensors, etc are not programmed for that at all.
