MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ?????? The Mall of America deconstructed the ride formally known as the ??????Mighty Axe.??????

The ride, currently known as ??????Tak Attack,?????? had its named changed once the park was re-branded as Nickelodeon Universe.

Crews started taking it down around 11 p.m. Monday and finished up in a few hours.

The ride opened in 1998 when the park was then called Camp Snoopy.

The ride was famously involved in a malfunction back in 1998 when it came to a stop and riders were stuck upside down at the very top for more than a half hour.

The Mall of America said the deconstruction will make way for a new ride opening in March.

Details on that ride will be available at later time.

Yeah, it's pretty sad. I've known about it for a while now. I went it's last day open and got a couple of rides on it. The new ride is going to be a Ninja Turtles Guestlauer Skyroller (Source, every employee at nickelodeon universe).

The ride was not insanely fun unless you rode with a ride-op who didn't care if you left a foot of space between your thighs and the OTSR.

OMG YAY SKYROLLER !!!!

Those Zamperla Roto Shaker rides are so insanely uncomfortable, I was so glad when KBF replaced theirs with Riptide.

Uncomfortable, I've never had that problem. I found them very comfortable. And really fun. I wish they would bring it to Valleyfair, and reprogram it, I heard it used to have a sick program that would flip you all over, and invert you at the bottom. I wish I could have ridden that. I'm not so sure about a sky roller, it seems too much like Brain Surge.

Just looked up what a skyroller is, and that is an insanely awesome concept. I'm probably never going to go to MoA, but still. Badass ride.

Robb Alvey got it removed because he told management it was bad and he didn't like the colors. American Eagle.
