But whatever, it has nothing to do with the topic at hand, so I'll just let it go.

holy crap. this is something new. someone actually realized when they started something irrelevant to a topic! i dont think i know how to react to this. XD

anyways, i think the ride looks great. i think its safe to say that this will at least be one of the the better re-creates out there nonetheless! props man!

Dude...what youre feeling isnt the track. Its the train. They vibrate after about half a year and need rehabbed. Its NOT the track. I watched this ride being built for days on end and Im positive there are no "seams" on the ride.

What makes you think theyd, on a ride of this speed and in a park like Cedar Point just overlook welding the things then sanding them down?

Again, the trains vibrate quite a bit. Especially the further back you go in the train and its not from the track but rather the trains not handling the forces as they should. Ill hop up there this week and shoot pictures of all this just to prove it. Its not the track, its the suspension and train chassis. Much like Mantis' track is perfectly smooth, its not rough. But the train vehicles suck and therefore the ride feels 100 times rougher than it actually is.

Cause everyone was getting so worked up over a track that they could simply not download.

With the whining that people like Ragan and others were doing, I wouldn't be suprised he's done with it and kept it for himself [lol]

Hmm, interesting idea... :)

Progress has been slow right now; I have a lot of non-roller coaster related projects that have priority at the moment. But if you are interested to know, I have been working on the catwalks for the lift hill, and hopefully with some time off next week, I can get a photo update.

he might be talking about how the cameras make the track look warped under Gforces that isn't the camera, that's the ride's awesomeness
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Small update:

Ongoing progress continues to trudge though shallow waters. The biggest things I have done are: 1. Re-shape the first drop, and 2. Re-angle the helix about five degrees to the northwest. I'm still trying to get the skybox to look good, as you can see, the water changed colors (not permanently). Supports and 3ds objects have been moved around, so some of the supporting structure might not look correct, but this is also temporary. I'll try and get photos of the lift catwalk this weekend, but for now enjoy these photos.

if you darkened the last picture a bit it might even be mistakened for the real thing
