This is not an actual recreation, more of a semi-recreation of the Mighty Canadian MineBuster at Paramount Canada's Wonderland. There are parts that are vastly different (and better!) from the real coaster, however the basic layout is the same.

Over the years Paramount has chopped this woodie up a bit too much and it is now a pretty boring ride with little airtime. With this NoLimits creation I plan on changing it. Adding the airtime I think it SHOULD have. The basic layout is the same as the real deal, just with my little touches.

I was inspired to build this mainly because of Thorazine's Bobcat coaster. He created the ride solely for himself, this is exactly what I am building this for. This is a simple ride that I could ride all day long.

Track construction is complete, and I am now workingon the supports.

Alright, finally a Canadian coaser recreation.

Edit: Real, I read that, and what I meant was that it was part of a recreation of a Canadian coaster.

Also, why would he do a direct recreation, if he's already done it?

Looks nice FN.

Would anyone who is good at creating 3ds objects like to volunteer to make a tunnel for me?
I am trying to make it myself with the object creator, but I think it is just beyond my skill level.

So I guess your not turning that boring turn-around into a Voyage-like turn-around in the forrest back there, eh?

It looks pretty cool, will the water slides still be able to fit in there? Are you going to make 3DS water slides? Is the Helix actually going to have laterals? Because the one on MCMB now has no G's what-so-ever!

Whew, It looks fun, good job...[approve]

Nope, no fancy turn around. I wanted to keep the layout *almost* the same, but just make it alot better.

And of course that helix has laterals!! [:D] 1.5 lateral g's the entire way, from the beginning to the end of it [:D]

I doubt the water slides would fit with this version, the far ones might, but the ones close to the lift hill wouldn't..and nope no waterslide 3ds, but i will be adding some extra lateral bracing on some of the hills to provide some headchoppers which should make up for them.

The main problem with tunnels is the texture mapping, unless you have a good texture mapper in the modeler. What I do for tunnels is make something in the tunnel maker and modify it as necessary. I use anim8or, no longer OC as it's kind of crappy.

If I made the tunnel with the tunnel maker could you texture it for me?

I don't have many of the good tools, except I could try UV mapper, which I'd have to take time to learn. But with just anim8or, there will be horrible texture distortion. Maybe I should model a tunnel from scratch based on the tunnel maker's tunnel, that way the mapping would be not as much an issue.

Well, I'm in no real rush to get this finished as I have a few other coasters to work on as well, so if you want to use this as a learning tool you can. Its up to you. I just made a tunnel in the maker that is pretty close to how I want it.
So if you want to, just let me know and I can send you the track and 3ds stuff to you.

Are you still using aim?

2 new screenshots of the almost completed tunnel. Only minor support work on the tunnel is needed - http://nldc.interfix.net/p1315

Thanks to DjTommy for texturing the tunnel for me and modifying it a bit!
