Ballista

Ballista is a small 4 car intamin accelerator which is designed to be a thrill without being too intimidating.

It will feature 2 inversions and several airtime moments, some sharp turns and a surrounding pathing and queue area that intergrates into the ride layout to give several different vantage points to view the ride.

Progress wise I'm happy with the layout, although the trackwork does potentially need a few tweaks. The supports are also of reasonable quality but again several need tweaks, which will follow the completion of the scenery which is the early stages of development.

Those keen of eye will notice a woodie in the distance, the final aim is to incorperate this into a small park, and Gouldy has kindly lent me one of his Gravity Group Family woodie designs to use - lots of work still to be done of both those fronts though.

Unnamed Launched X-Car

This X-Car features a typical looking X-Car lift, however it is launched through this element. The rest of the layout features airtime, a cobra roll and a couple of tight turns / helixes.

I'm currently hapy with the layout, but not the trackwork. The supports that I have done I am also pretty happy with, and I enjoy making this kind of supportwork.

I noticed you might have a couple little pumps in both rides, but you mentioned the track wasn't 100% there. The Maurer feels like it's a wooden ride entering a turn at 0:35-0:36ish, but that's the only really iffy trackwork spot I saw. I can't really see the supports onride but they seem fine so far. Should be a neat park.

Also it's nice to see an intamin that doesn't kill people.

I really like Ballista. It's small but packs a good punch. As for the X-car one, I am not a fan of those rides irl but this one looks good in the video. I think you should finish up Ballista. It's a different vibe that what's usually uploaded.

Any places in particular on Ballista? I've been told the corkscrew is a bit iffy - I can also send the file for testing if you have the time/desire to have a look :)

From the video it looks like the transition in and out of the first air hill is a little iffy. I really enjoy the layout though
What are these for?

You tend to do it in half loops near the peaks. The radius change happens too suddenly I think but i'm not sure. They're not awful or anything and on the X Car it could be magnified because the trains are a bit tall if I recall.

Update on Ballista* (name pending)

Finally managed to get some more stuff done on this ride:-

Completely redeveloped the station and surrounding area (this will likely end up as a generic-y theme area), adding in a Shot Tower with custom hut and queue line. Fixed up some terrain and did some fixes on the supports where there were clashes with 3DS. On top of that I've worked a little on shaping to get rid of a few pumps and fix the shaping though the airtime hill. Now for a new POV and some pictures:

The basics of the 3d modelling are done - texture tweaking and detail are next on the agenda.
