Anyone else run into a problem where after 8 ground textures it won't let you add anymore? Is this a bug? Surely the game can handle running more than 8 ground textures, and I've hit a wall in my BGW recreation with this limitation. Is there a work around if for some insane reason it is intentional?

yes. I just saw another thread somewhere, and 8 is the current max.

Its really annoying me with my Park. I'm having to re-use a lot for queue lines ect. Surely it would be able to handle more

Yeah it's kind of a bummer. I wonder if they arbitrarily capped it thinking that was enough, or if theres a limit for some reason in the engine? If it's an easy fix, it'd be nice to see it in a patch.

I think the best way to solve this is, to make simple objects with a dummy texture for the texture coordinates.
Since you have one object imported, you can save this NL2SCO multiple times with different textures on, to have different pavements (for example).

If there is a need for terrain angles, the "lock on terrain" and "Adjust on Terrain Slope" (Rotation Tab) can be activated.

Pros:
- you have the full 8 texture slots for the terrain left
- the object can be scaled as the texture on it
- the texture possibilities are nearly endless.
- you can also use this object as a wall, fence or something else (depends on the texture which is on the object)
- you can also make a second object with a different shape, etc.

I hope that helps.

Wow thanks Magu! I'll tinker with that. I didn't follow 100% because I'm a newb with modeling, but I'm sure I can figure it out based on that description!

Well, .. give me a few minutes and i??????ll make it visual =) I??????m glad if i can inspire some minds. NL2 is much more than a simple roller coaster simulator. The new functions which are given to us are much more than you might think, yet ;)

Edit:
HERE it is:
