A coaster that disapointed me was Mean Streak at Ceder point. Thought it would be good but overall it was just boring and slowish.

What is a coaster thats had a lot of people talking about it and you expected it to be great but it turned out that it wasnt as good as you thought?

Silver Bullet at Knott's...I remember how much publicity that thing got...and it was worse than the Tweetie Cages at Six Flags....and that's not even a roller coaster.
Sometimes you gotta sacrifice a little bit of yourself to get the job done.

Mantis, Mean Streak, and Gemini at Cedar Point; Superman Ultimate Flight at SFGAm (It was fun, but I waited an hour and a half for a ~30 second ride.)

Millennium Force like no otha.

And Desperado. It was fun especially at night, but a few friends told me it was breathtaking and to die for, so I got off like 'meh'. Guess they haven't been on a very good span of coasters [lol]

Desperado's was just fun for the credit imo. The airtime pops were hilarious. Maybe your friends meant with: "breathtaking and to die for" as: Breathtaking, because of the fear of dying and actually dying on the rollercoaster, because the arrow roughness? [lol]
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)

^Haha yeah the airtime was great, kept me laughing. The ride is good, it just has a ridiculously aimless layout. It just generally feels like it's going nowhere, which makes its length (insanely long) seem boring when they could've done something a little smarter with that much track to keep it more entertaining. But I'm sure a lot of people don't agree with me, that's just how I feel about it. The drop and bunny hills are all really fun and it's a good ride at heart but the whole time I was waiting for something, and it never came.

Ya i have to agree... I looked at the layout of Desperado it almost as if there wasnt any thought put into it... fun coaster but random layout.

As Gav and Gaz both said: Air @ AT, boring, slow and... boring [lol].

It always breaks down with various technical issues, the dual loading station actually slows the process down IMO, the seating over time has become uncomfortable and all smells of sweaty Stoke chavs.

Only one good moment on the whole ride, the zero-g-fly-to-lie does give a good sensation. And I suppose it looks quite pretty.

Also: Kingda Ka on any row other than the front row. Don't get me wrong, I actually really loved the ride, it was truly insane on the front row... but on the back row? I really was disappointed. There's me expecting air time off the top of the top hat but no, that trim soon sorted that out [lol]

I agree with you about Mean Streak. When I was little, thinking about going on it terrified me. All my friends were saying things like "Oh, it's so scary! It's rougher than The Beast!" And then when I finally got the courage to go on it, it was really boring.

I really don't understand why nobody likes Mantis, though. I don't think it's that bad...

Disagree. SB is actually a decent ride. Think about it, it has 6 inversions, 2 zero-g moments, and a 3.5g helix that lats for 1.6 seconds- all in the layout. Does that seem disappointing? Not nearly as disappointing as Pony Express is.

I say Millennium Force. Overhyped, underforceful ride.

^I went on MF that when I was 9 and i thoght it was the best thing in the world. The more i thought about it, it could have been soo much better. Amazing drop but the rest was just meh. Still a good ride when you go to CP whoever is planning on going though.[approve]

I found Rita a complete waist of two hours queueing. The launch was weak, it was nothing but banked turns and it is generally over-rated. Furius Baco is far better [:)]

Ditto on Mean Streak. The bark is worse than the bite. I even rode it before the trims were added on the first drop. What a waste of lumber, and space. They need to raze it and replace it with a worthy world class woody.

^ the thing about that coaster is, I wouldn't have had high expectations for that coaster in anyway imo.
