The drop on Excalibur at Valleyfair is pretty boring because of the trims at the top of the drop, but the trims keep the ride from being too rough, so I guess they're a necessary evil. Corkscrew in the same park has a pretty short and uninteresting drop, but at least the ride itself is decent.

I'd like to add Silver Bullet's looks pretty bad too.

I would say Mean Streak:
*Yay, release of the chainlift AAAND trimbrake....
*Yay, release of trimbrake AAAAND another trimbrake...
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)
- Wood: 142
- Steel: 1268

No, definitely not. I had so much fun on Gao. That drop just seems endless and keeps picking up speed. It's far from lame.

After riding Mean Streak, I have to agree that it has the most uninteresting drop of any coaster I've ridden. Those trims on the drop are just one of the reasons why Mean Streak is such a pointless ride.

Sorry to say, and I know i'll get shiit for saying it, but I really did not enjoy Diamondback at KI. It just felt even more forceless than Nitro.

Green Lantern at Six Flags Great Adventure... It did absolutely nothing.
1.Boulder Dash | 2.Legend(HW) | 3.Beast | 4.Ravine Flyer II | 5.Intimdator 305 | 6.Phoenix | 7.Twisted Timbers | 8.Wicked Cyclone | 9.Thunderhead | 10.Storm Chaser

Sorry TTD, but Dragsters drop is pretty pathetic. None of the OMFG airtime you'd expect on a 400 foot coaster.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

That's just cause your mind is on overload from the launch.
But I get it. :P

I also found Raptor's first drop rather disappointing. The angle of the drop isn't that steep compared to other B&M inverts out there.

Strange. Diamondback's drop is like...one of the best there is lol. The back seat is so strong with the really long trains cuz of staggered cars. Raptor's is great too, haha. Some seats have wicked whip around that corner.

You didn't ride in the back. It does this awkward floaty whip thing I haven't found on any other ride.

Excalibur's drop still gets a pop of air in the back right after the trims... It's second drop into the rough turn followed by the ejector hill is what makes it an amazing ride though :D

For me i'd have to say the Demon at Californias Great AMerica, it's just so boring and it hurts so bad. + It's a Vekoma, so what do you expect.

Vekoma?? Demon has arrow all over it, right down to the geometrically shaped painful elements, but, still a great ride. and that first drop feels a lot steeper than it really is. As far as lamest first drop, I nominate Roar at SFDK. The rest of the ride is pretty insane, but, that first drop leaves much to be desired.

I think Silver Bullet is worse...

"Silver Bullet" must have had a full drop, not a half one, to gain speed! :( All other elements are so gorgeous I want to drool over them!

I find a few coaster drops... boring, but I literally got shocked at some people saying "Intamin Stratas" had pathetic drops. They obviously are dynamic! They do have a good airtime on top of a tower, too!

No offense at all! :)

The Beast at Kings Island also has a pretty weak first drop. Those trim brakes really kill any excitement on the drop. The rest of the ride is great though.

Demon's drop is awesome, great pop of ejector air! It probably helps that ours got the newer trains at some point... so I can see why your Demon would be more uncomfortable. I hate the older Arrow looper trains.

Any coaster with a tiny drop out of the station in pre-lift has the lamest first drop. I nominate Shockwave @ Drayton manor for having the lamest of all these.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.
