gouldy, consider that something as similarly shaped as Apollo's Chariot's drop is significantly more exciting than Giovanola's hypercoaster, and it's 45 feet shorter. Had Giovanola designed their drop with slightly more curvature, the small duration of floater airtime the back row experiences near the top of the drop could be distributed along the whole drop, instead of gently placing riders back into their seats 2/3 of the way up. That feature makes the drop feel much more safe than it could...even without doing some ridiculously steep slope. The top of that drop in the back row is somewhat fun, but the fun decreases until the pullout where you really start to feel the speed. Also note that Giovanola is not afraid of airtime; the camelback on that design is easily one of the best hills I've ridden. Because of the mix of airtime and speed, it ranks near the best of El Toro and SROS SFNE for me.
Giovanola may have achieved what they desired, however that doesn't mean I don't feel the drop is much more 'lame' than it could be with similar shaping. Note that Silver Bullet was designed exactly as B&M intended, and it has some speed near the bottom, smoothness throughout, decent height, and drop time, yet it was consistently brought up as one of the most lame drops. Now I don't think Silver Bullet's drop compares to Titan's, but that's not because either wasn't designed as intended.
btw, I would appreciate it if you didn't call one of my posts dumb just because you disagree. That's not cool.
