Boyfriend and I are at some Wisconsin Dells water parks for winter break, and I had to see what was up with the Hades 360 construction. I didn't think they'd be doing work during snowy weather- it's literally snowing and they're workin' away.

P.S. Speaking of re-tracking, Pegasus got a LOT of attention, Zeus got some attention, and Hades got occasional attention from our views driving around the park. It leads me to believe there will probably be more re-tracking going on with all of the rides as time goes on.

P.P.S. Mt. Olympus has to be the LEAST secure park on the planet. Full access to all parking lots, front as well as the back lots that hook around to the back of the three-way wooden coaster clumps. Not to mention a utility gate to the back end of Zeus was wide open. But I'm thankful for this hehe since because good picturez.

Looking sweet over there. This park is still pretty high on my to-do list. Let see what happens with all those re-tracks.
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)
- Wood: 142
- Steel: 1268

New wood? On a coaster at Mt Olympus???????

This is shocking. I can't wait to visit this August and see if Hades has been made into the amazing coaster it has the potential to be.

I'm working on booking my trip there too. I'm aiming sometime middle May, for my birthday, also because I'm not sure how long the new wood will feel nice. I wanna get on it as early as possible since all of my experiences on all four roller coasters were very rough and jackhammering- not to say I didn't enjoy all of the coasters.

But a smooth second half of Hades would be nice. Also a barrel roll =P

ALSO this AWESOME waterpark complex addition. It looks so great, like an adult water jungle gym.

Not to mention this Bowl Slide lulz:

but.. wait ..i love the pictures.. female dogen how easy it was to get so close.. that's rad and all, but what are you guys doing driving along in that part of the country this time of year? being from southern california i always thought that area was like middle of nowhere artic tundra style wasteland until summer! .. anyhow this inversion is one of the times when i actually get excited about wooden coasters doing something "sacrilegious" . if you happen to be able to take more photos further along i hope you post 'em.

We don't live far from the dells, like a 4 hour drive. We drove there to celebrate the end of the semester, by enjoying this, this and this

AH.. i see . i'm not so much of a water park guy myself, but i get the idea of putting the waterpark indoors. you're lucky to be with someone who digs that kind of stuff .

Yeah, I like water slides almost equally with roller coasters, but it's obvious why roller coasters always take the ultimate post at #1.

And yes, yes I am. The love and acceptance of rolling and coasting amusement experiences aren't among my requirements in the romance field, but if he does then I'll usually stick around for a longer time...
