haven't seen one of these threads before, so figured I would start one.

Here's mine:

Portishead
Maroon5
Eurythmics/Annie Lennox (possibly the best female vocalist ever, IMHO)

[:I] So now i'm blushing from embarassment. anybody else want to join in on this horrible shame? [:P]

I almost forgot one! I like Snoop Dogg too. Ain't no fun if my homies can't have none. [lol]

Not really ashamed, but I do not talk about them much: Chicago, Air Supply, and Kenny Rogers

I'm not ashamed to admit these, but I probably shouldn't like them much.
-Cake
-The Postal Service (I listened to them, but stopped, so I don't know if this one counts.)
-Akon (Click clack gunshot!)

I'm not ashamed but if you knew me personally you would think i am a hard rock guy which these bands/singers aren't. James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks sounds like a goat[lol]), and John Denver. I also like modern jazz.

Let's see. I have Rush, Depeche Mode, Korn, Diana Krall, Dr Dre and Kenny Chesney CD's. I also have ABBA, Bee Gee's and an old MC Hammer CD. Apparently I have no shame.

I'm not really ashamed that I listen to this but its not the first trait I would tell somebody.

Bluegrass; I play in a band on fiddle and fell in love with the stuff.

I'm not really ashamed of any of the music I listen to. Though sometimes I find myself humming Avril Lavigne songs in my head....but thats more to do with her being hot than the music being any good [lol]

I already admitted to listening to Backstreet Boys. I'm usually not very open about it, because all the f**ktards I tell start calling me 'gay'. Give me a break... girls are allowed to listen to Britney Spears without being lesbians, so why aren't guys allowed to listen to Backstreet without being gay? I can't stand the steriotype that girls are supposed to listen to pop, and guys are supposed to listen to hardcore rock. Give me a break. Steriotypes are complete bulls**t.

Meh who cares if they call you gay? Even if you were, what would they do about it? What are they going to do about it?[lol] Nothing, that's what!

Cool! Another bluegrass listener. It's funny, I love bluegrass, but don't really like country music so much. My favorite bluegrass song is "little maggie"...can't remember who sings it though.

Oh, and cjd, just ignore what people say. I'm not a backstreet boys fan, but I will admit that they have one song that sticks in my head for days after hearing it. I believe it's called "I want it that way"...dammit! now that i've mentioned it, i'll likely be humming it all night. [lol]

^--I know that Little Maggie was done by Ricky Scaggs, but IDK if he did the original or not. My fav bluegrass song is probably Dooley by The Dillards. Great mix of fiddle, banjo, and lyrics.

Kev, do you play any of the bluegrass genre instruments?
